We took mom out for a dinner on Sunday, as she asked to go there. When she was young she would go there and had memories of having fun, eating and being with friends. Boy, has timed changed. She was a bit disappointed as the place is run down and the food not as before. I ordered a noodle dish... More

The food is tasty and will probably go back for the okazu side ... My family enjoyed their meal...musubi, kinpira, chicken, namasu, teriyaki meat, and sweet potato tempura.

Casual restaurant with friendly staff and customers. Actually had conversations with other customers on other tables. I wanted to eat local saimin. Just a comfortable place to dine

I come here quite often and I almost always get the Ox tail soup. The Oxtails are cooked to perfection, fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. Its served with a bowl of rice on the side and the usual condiments: shredded ginger and Chinese parsley. The Oxtails are topped with mustard cabbage greens par-boiled (still a little... More

We've been coming here for 40 years because I really love eating Okazaki, but the Sekiya family sold it a few years ago and it's never been the same. The selection of take-out items was sparse, it was not inexpensive and I could have played a round of golf with the over-cooked and uber-dried fried chicken the provided. The luncheon... More

This is a standard to go to for comfort food, and while the selections have been limited over time, it still draws the local patrons consistently.

This is not a fancy restaurant; while it serves Japanese foo,d(which has been modified to "local" (e.g., a conglomeration or amalgamarion of different ethnic groups, mostly from Asia and the Pacific, but also some American influence, as well as the host Hawaiian culture) tastes. Its decor is diner, slightly adapted to a Japanee thought. It hasn't changed much since it... More

Old time restaurant with many, many local residents who visit often. They even have a take out okazuya (little bites to take out that can be massive). Everything is great here.

Since this place has a lot of local history, I was looking forward to some really good local food. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. This place has a nice hole in the wall feel to it but it needs better food. Take a pass on this one.
