We stopped at this restaurant based on a recommendation from a couple we were sharing a cab with. No menus, Maris just lists off her menu for you. He ordered the shrimp with jalapeno cream sauce, I ordered the lobster. Both were wonderful and super fresh. I'm glad we stopped here for our last dinner on Big Corn Island.

We had read about this place in a traveller's blog saying that eating at Danette's place was not to be missed. We had ordered the RonDon a day in advance (I think you need to order it at least 3 hrs in advance as it takes time to make). It was absolutely worth the wait. This may have been one of... More

Once of the best restaurants on the island. We had lobster. We got 2 tails each and a bottle of wine for $32 US. Was so good. We ate here a few times on our 2 week stay. It is very clean and ladies are very friendly. Would highly recommend

Great food, good portion sizes. We ate here twice during our five days on the island. They run on a daily menu, so what they offer changes for the day.

We turned up unannounced and were immediately made to feel very welcome by the lovely Danette. A very comfortable mini-apartment, self catering if you want to or else meals served on the patio. Danette is an excellent cook and her "Rundown" fish stew is famous across the island. Actually, all her food is good.

Great local cuisine. Good lobster and seafood soup at good price. It is clean and well kept house . She even rents rooms had we know . I don't eat seafood she made me pasta and that too was good. My boyfriend loved his lobster we ate several times. His favourite was the jalapeños sauce.

We had one of the nicest meals here: Lobster tail, shrimp, bass and corvina. I would recommend Maris to anyone and would definitely return. We found this gem on our last day so we unfortunately could not return the next day.

This place is worth the hype. Not only is the food great, but a bottle of white wine and two lobster dishes costs around 30 USD. The lobster comes with two lobster tails, and between being cut and having the garlic butter already on, all one needs to do is cut the meat out. The accompanying fries, rice and veggies... More
