We found ourselves in the upper town in February, and we'd already had a big lunch so all we wanted was a cheese/cold meat plater and WINE! This was the only place open without descending to the new town. We went in and the friendly guy immediately understood what we were after and produced his platter and decent wine. Evening... More

Very quiet over Xmas and only the Poste was open but no problem. I had the 3 course so partner and I shared the brilliant grilled moules, lovely garlic and herbs. Then my main was ray which was perfectly coooked. Partner had the veal cutlet - she was happy with that. And we shared the chocky cake with the goo-ey... More

Big place on the main street with a wood-fired oven, so tried the pizzas. Pretty good with a better than average passata. Good service, decent enough house wine. Veal Milanese less than inspiring but with very good veg. Moules farcies very good. A decent enough tourist restaurant.

After visting rhe Haut Ville of Bonifacio, we decided to have dinner in town. The waitress refused to serve a large bottle of water as it is usual in France. After request and a long waiting time, we got the menu for choosing the food and ordering. The pizza tasted very good, just the size was unexpected small. La Sauce... More

My second trip to Corsica. Stopped to eat lunch here, we got mozzarella di bufallo that must have been a couple of days old (it was sour). The pasta carbonara was dry and the aubergine likewise. Nothing compared to the lunch we had before on a different place. The supposly young pork was literally drawning in its own fatt. The... More

Very welcoming, and good guidance to some of the more unusual choices. We were lucky to get a table on the balcony overlooking the harbour during a lovely sunset. Good wine and delicious food all locally sourced, and good service too.

I ate twice in the evening with a large group. Set menus were available and also local specialities. Service was very good considering the size of our group. There was also a good range of desserts. I did not sample the wine but ample water and bread was provided with our meals.

The food is the strong point at Cafe de la Poste. Not fancy, but invented & made with passion and good ingredients. They have a diverse menu. The steak was supreme, the pizza - awesome. The fish soup was not my cup of tea.

Bonifacio Citadel has numerous restaurants and was extremely busy when we visited. Aubergines Bonifacio, a local recipe, appeared on nearly every menu. Corsicans seem to use nutmeg and cinnamon in abundance in their cooking and this dish was no different. We were a little surprised with this dish, as it consisted of beefburger shape and texture aubergine flesh mixed with... More

We ordered pizza Bonifacio which was amazing. On our way back we wanted to go there again but didin't have time. The service was really good and we got everything we wanted even though their English was very poor. We were also happy with the prices.
