Excellent food and very friendly waiters. We even went there twice because at our first visit we spotted the porcetto which had to be ordered in advance.

The service, the wine, the atmosphere, the food....everything was perfect! The sausage was amazing and the homemade pasta was delicious. The ravioli was also outstanding! Great value for money.

This place was the most utter disgraceful restaurant I have ever eaten. We both ordered a ‘dish of the day’ that translated via google (the menu was in Italian) as ‘Sardinian-Modican Red Ox Bacon marinated with Cannonau, Sardinian craft beer and aromatic herbs from Sardinia’...the price: € 28.00. Which is quite a lot here in Sardinia. We also ordered two side dishes, respectively 5 and 6 euros. As everybody will surely think by this description, we expected a nice piece of meat in a aromatic sauce. What we got: approximately 50 grams of very thinly sliced cured meat on crackers. For 56 euros. We were absolutely flabbergasted and should have sent it back immediately. But we didn’t, and wanted to politely ask the waiter for some explanation. Why was this so expensive? Was this really our main dish? Then came the worst. The waiter litterally SHRUGGED, said ‘I don’t know’ in the most condescending way AND WALKED AWAY DURING our conversation. Which is extremely rude and has nothing to do with any form of hospitality whatsoever. By then we were more then appalled, and considered not paying, walking away or making a huge scene. But hey, WE are polite. So we payed the bloody bill of 98 euros and did say to the waiter-who-isn’t-worthy-of-his-job we were never been treated in such a disgraceful way. He said ‘ok’ and walked away again. I recommend everybody NOT going here if you like to be treated as a human being and not as a cash cow for 50 grams of cured meat. ZERO POINTS!More

Very good restaurant. Good meat, fast service. The food is not expensive, but the beer is, but good beer. The total price is a little high, but normal around here. Would repeat!

Horrible experience!!! We arrived, none looked at us. So after 10 minutes we found our table and sat down ourself. We wanted to order tagliata (which is a medium rare fillet steak), the waiter said that they didn’t have any and he advise to have...a goat tagliata. When our dishes arrived was anything but not a steak or a tagliata, it was a kind of delicatessen never saw it before (and I am Italian), I also ordered some “seasonal vegetables” for €5 as my dish had now sides and they bring some horrible raw carrot, cucumber and dirty celery. The total bill for a house wine, 2 “tagliata” and 2 “sides” was €68 and they alto tried to charge us more, the staff was not enough and very rude. Please stay away from this expensive tourist trap!!!More

Every time we go to La Maddalena , we go to il Rifugio. It is a central location close to the main church. The team is very friendly. They serve local food , wine that they find all over Sardinia. The specialty is il porchetta...sardo .... we love the place.More

We went as an indication of Captain Marco (#navettacittàdichiavari1960) and the restaurant surprised us. The service is excellent, the food is the best of the trip. Do not forget to try the "MIRTO bread", ravioli or Fregula.

During a stay in the harbor we decided to goto to dinner with our crew of 10. The restaurant was very friendly and opened 30min early for us. It is located hidden in the 2nd row behind the church. The inside is very nicely modeled...like an old barn. Very nice layout. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. We ordered the sampler plate for starters. Excellent ham of various sorts. I can recommend them. For mains we had beef and pork dish. Food was good. Portions on the large side. Mains are served without sides. Recommendable place (at a minimum) during the off seasons.More
