Great customer service (everyone has a smile), amazing pies, and yummy cakes. Why wouldnt you for goodness sakes. Good old kiwi pies with melt in the mouth pastry, and fillings done to perfection. Cant wait to go back

Just stopped for a tea, and this place did not disappoint, it has a great location with views over the lake and mountains. Tea was good, with a cool teapot in a tea cozy. I'd not seen one of those for a long time, so was cool. Friendly staff, and good service. We only had a tea, so cannot comment... More

We arrived for a coffee about 10 to find the breakfast rush hadn't quite finished. Sitting outside was very pleasant as there were heaters in the ceiling keeping everyone warm and a nice view of the lake while the world passed by. Which was lucky as the coffee took quite a while to arrive. And when they did, both of... More

This restaurant is on one of Wanaka's busiest corners, with outdoor seating looking out across Lake Wanaka. For that reason it definitely has that "happening place" feeling. Inside there are a few tables, too. It almost always seems to be very busy. We chose the soup of the day, which was a curried ginger carrot with mascarpone. The soup was... More

After a day on the slopes at Cardrona we popped to Wanaka and stumbled across this place. It was chockers! Full of locals sitting outside under the heaters. I got chatting to the guy on the next table to us who turned out the be the owner, Roger. What a nice, friendly guy! We throughly enjoyed our food and even... More

My mum and I stopped here before driving back to Christchurch after a 4 day stay in Wanaka. Definitely would come back! The grub kept us going and service was great! Loved the relaxed atmosphere and even picked up a KeepCup!

Lovely staff and a lovely place right by the lake. I had one of the award winning beers and was not disappointed. Great music and a cool crowd!

Breakfast at Kai Whakapai before heading to Treble Cone. Coffee was acceptable, though not great. Breakfast was great. If I had to find a fault the mushrooms were rubbery and plain.

Was told to try the hot Choc here and was not disappointed. Very popular local hangout and there is always a decent crowd sitting at the outdoor tables all evening. Have just visited again on August 5th for dinner and LOVED the vegetarian pizzas. The wedges were also cooked really well. Will try and do a separate review for that,... More

We walked by several times and it was always busy. So we decided to stop in for breakfast. It was delicious. Ended up stopping in for lunch the next day and were equally satisfied.
