When I visited Chef's Baking Shop, there was a special listed outside for 8,000 TSH, but everything on the menu was 10,000 - 15,000... the same prices as food on the beach. The meal I had *was* delicious, but way overpriced for the atmosphere (three plastic tables and chairs and a huge swarm of flies). Nice staff, and worth it... More

This is the local baker putting his cooking skills to good use in the evenings and providing a choice of two or three basic but very good value dishes each day depending on which local fresh products are available for 8,000 tzs (half the price of local restaurants). If you want flash service and romantic ambience, forget it. If you... More

The place is small, hot, kind of funky. Still, super worth. Food was delicious (from breakfast to lunch), good and with super cheap juices. Chocolate cake was nice, as well as the octopus coconut curry. Nice and big portions, and awesome value for money. Highly recommend skipping the beach once to try this local food.

The food is cheap, 8000 tsh typical, and the portions good. Downside is alot of flies, very hot in the sitting area, and the waiter was not inspiring. Would not have tried this place if not for tripadvisor.

A small bakery and local resturant. The Chef there got a magic hands! The food is deliches the people are very nice and kind. They have interesting specials (different from what you will find in all the other restaurants). You can also find their fresh bread and cakes. Good for lunch and dinner. Highly recommended!!

A local restaurant that serves good and fresg seafood with prices are slightly lower than the restaurants along the beach. We had fried fish and octopus stew. Both are very good. The service speed, compared to the nice restaurants along the beach is surprisingly much faster!
