Very nice place to eat with beautiful views of the ocean. The food is very tasty, they served the best pizza I ate during my stay at Matemwe:-).

My husband and our three kids (ages 7, 5, and almost 2) went to Villa Kiva many times during a recent two-week stay in Matemwe (we stayed at a house). This is a gorgeous place (see gardens in the back) with decent food, a nice selection of wine, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. It was a nice get away for... More

Went for an evening meal following a walk down the beach. Ordered catch of the day (barracuda) and a lobster pasta. Both were very tasty and well spiced. Recommended.

I would recommend to avoid Villa Kiva. But if you decide to go there, be prepared to spend your day on the toilet due to the poor food quality. And it is not an Italian restaurant for sure: pizza that has a taste of chapati and no spice on it, panna cotta and chocolate mousse out of a bag, and... More

The food is very good, Italian and swahili style. The hotel is perfect to have a great moment and relax. I just recommend it even it's far from almost everything. You have several activities to do anyway.

We walked in for lunch while strolling down the beach. Well managed resort with positive atmosphere. Wanted to have lunch outside but when a rainstorm came up after taking our orders, the waitress suggest we continue inside. Good idea, really. We had fresh juices, ujoro soup, vegetable curry and polenta with beans. All very good except the curry consisted mainly... More

Villa Kiva is a super beach location and the property is thoughtfully laid out with lovely gardens and pools. The dining rooms and bar have a nice feel and the whole experience is truly boutique. Lovely staff working in the hotel and a good local food experience.

Some of the starters were good some were bad. I don't recommend the beef samosas as the pastry is too thick, but the soups were good. The pizza bases had to much sauce on but apart from that it was good, with a nice view.

Everything OK, nice and friendly staff and owners, all clean and functional - it can be seen that the hotel belongs to the Europeans - the European standard and quality! :-) Just drink might not be so expensive, so guests do not have to go to the next hotel on the left, where there is beer, rum and cola at... Once I stayed in their hotel, me and my family had our meals here. Diavola Pizza just perfect, Fish Carpaccio perfect too. Strongly suggest the Catch of Day, specially the Barracuda. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommended.
