I paid for 5 dinner/gig tickets online. When we arrived at 7.30 there was no record of booking. I was left scrolling emails for 10 mins. ( they were sent at 9.00 that pm) We were served and given bill for full amount at 10pm. I was v embarrassed in front of my guests. Food was fine except for chowder-,tasted... More

Been here on Saturday night, great atmosphere with a nice choice Of tap beers and drinks. Disappointing food: way too expensive and quality below the average: I had a cod with chips, both were greasy and poorly cooked.

The Purty Kitchen offers a friendly ambiance and good, comfortable vibe, with decent food fare, and a good range of beers. The staff are competent and friendly, and overall it's to be recommended.

What a fantastic place. My wife and I booked a table and were luck to get in. The place was full of diners. Young, middle aged and old. Each with a story to tell and an agenda for fantastic food, exceptional service and to be part of a vibrant pub / restaurant. This was by far the highlight of our... More

To be fair, the phone manner of the people who I spoke with was terrific. I called twice. I paid for a meal and a show. The barmen handled my requests very well, friendly and correctly. The service staff worked hard but were not trained well, Plates were auctioned at our table (server did not know who each meal was... More

A stunning burger and fries and chicken on bed of sweet potato were both joys to eat. The only criticism as a fellow hospitality expert is to tighten up on the quality of service and following up when opportunities for up selling is there. Otherwise I encourage everyone to visit the only kitchen where you dont have to do the... More

I was lucky to have my staff party here. Place in lovely, spacious, nicely decorated and clean. But the best part is staff- very professional and helpful. Especially new manager with dark hair- gem! I would definitely recommend

Went here yesterday for Sunday lunch. Had to ask twice for a drink when we went in, waited ages to order. When the food came it wasn't great. Salmon croquette were horrible, the soup was to sweet. The mains weren't much better. The burger was very earthy, tasted more like black pudding than beef. Very slow at serving drink and... More

A number of years ago, apparently the last of service under the previous management, I had a disastrous meal. It took a while for me to go back, but I'm so glad I did! I've had a hard time finding Chicken wings served with Ranch dressing anywhere in South Dublin, and theirs is perfect. I had them last Tuesday for... More

Description
WINNER OF DUBLIN'S BEST GASTRO PUB 2013 - IRISH RESTAURANT AWARDSThe Purty Kitchen re-opened it's doors under new ownership in October of 2012. The Purty Kitchen is south Dublin’s newest gastropub serving a wide variety of fresh fish and pub classics with flair. Every dish has been created to show off seasonal food at it’s best and we have used Irish produce wherever possible. We have tried to put a signature twist on all of our food. Take our burger for example. They are made in house with dry aged Irish beef from Kettyle meats. The cheese comes from 5 mile town creamery and then it’s all served on a Waterford blaa with a basket of skin-on rooster chips. Most of what we serve in the Purty Kitchen is made in the Purty Kitchen. Where there are exceptions to that, we have sourced things from other great Irish food producers like Boulaban Farm in Tipperary for our salted caramel ice cream, or Arbutus Bakery in Cork for delicious sourdough rye bread.
