Very nice small restaurant. Welcoming. Fare pricing. Picked the duck with asian veggies, great taste. One place to visit if you around here. And close to some attractions

We spent a couple of days in the Serra da Estrela region and paid a visit to the historic city of Belmonte, at the border of the mountains. In between sightseeing (the castle and museums are really worth a visit) we had a couple of hours to have lunch and picked out "O Brasão", following past reviews. We were not... More

Had our lunch here while visiting Belmonte and its castle. Food was good and we left feeling full. Service was corteous and kind, but prices are slightly high. Well worth the visit in any case.

Short visit to Belmonte. Having lunch at Brazão was a very positive moment. Small restaurant with good and attentive service.Food very well prepared, specially the pig leg (traditional dish). Vegetable soap was not so good. Good option on local deserts.

It's a small restaurant, so book in advance if possible. It's right on the outskirts of the Belmonte Castle, with traditional food and a cosy ambient. perfect for a lunch or snack while visiting the city of Belmonte.

Traditional good food. Average prices. It seems a family run restaurant. Nice staff. It´s a good option in this beautiful nice town. If you are exploring the area it´s really worth, besides visiting Belmonte, driving a few kilometers further and also seeing Sortelha, a charming little town nearby.

I ordered the plate of the day. Nothing special. The service was OK and the price was fair. For dessert, I had panacota with berry jam: delicious.

The waiter refused to merge tables for a group of 8, even though there were about 7 free tables closeby. We were further outraged since the employee didn't offer any more solutions and proceded to talk with other customers.

Stopped off at lunchtime. Friendly and helpful staff. The appetisers served were olives and small fish like whitebait. Very yummy! Also fresh country bread and corn bread. I had the salad and my other half had the mozzarella salad. Huge portions, freshly prepared. Very enjoyable.
