Went here with a couple of members of family for tea. Firstly couldn't get some of the starters that was on the menu as they didn't have any left. Then the main meal was very basic. The woman that came out to clear our plates was very unpleasant. Left it a few weeks and went back again thinking the first... More

I tried this cafe out a few days ago, has a different name....bistro......but it was delicious and so I went back again to have it again. For me if I find somewhere that serves good food and service I'll always go back. Coffee is delicious and everything else......give it a try.

Avoid. We witnessed the staff empty bins and carry out task with no regard for basic hand hygiene. Avoid if you do not wish to br affected by food poisoning. Report lodged with Local Authority environmental hygiene department. Avoid. Staff do not wash their hands.

Sunday morning, stopped for breakfast in this busy little village and at this busy little restaurant. Breakfast was OK but rather expensive for what it was - £5.45, if I recall correctly - and this excludes a drink. It was all a bit greasy, was said to contain black pudding that turned out to be haggis pudding and I asked... More

It is not an attractive looking place from the outside, that is for sure but we decided to venture for a pot of tea anyway. However, this place has a friendly service, decent beverages (especially decent coffee) and absolutely amazing cheesecake. If you fancy a bit of a drink and cake, please do not be put off by the grim... More

Not an amazing cafe that is a must go but it is okay for what it is. If looking for a cafe to go to in Tarbert it is one that is there. Had tea and carrot cake. Both tasty.

Visited there with our kids. They were happy with the nuggets, but the chips were only warm and the burgers just average. Service was friendly and quick, though.

We always stop at Lite Bites for a couple of rolls and a cup of coffee on our way to Machrihanish Golf Course. Great fresh food and nice friendly service. If you are passing through Tarbert drop into Lite Bites.

Having arrived early for the Islay Ferry, we drove for miles before we encountered Talbert. Having assessed where the locals were eating, we alighted on this little gem. If the deco was nothing special, the choice of meals and snacks was wide, the service was truly impressive, the food was good and the prices were tiny. We would come back... More
