You can't say you've been to Tepoz without having had a traditional Mexican meal at Los Colorines. In addition to fabulous food, the interior design is something you won't want to miss. Long lines on weekends, so go early. Chile rellenos are super!

This is famous place, been around for a long time-- really authentic classic Mexican food, and not Tex-Mex by any means. The service is great, the waiters are part of the ambiance. Enjoy really nice versions of enchiladas, sopa de tortilla, mole, sopas de cecina, tacos de cecina con cebollas(roasted onions) and queso Oaxaca...2 are a full meal. The guacamole... More

Los Colorines was recommended to us in mexico city already. like the name suggests it's a very colorful atmosphere inside, friendly staff and very Mexican menu. We loved it!

Get here early as this place is very popular. The wait is worth it though if you do get here late. The atmosphere is fun and tropical with pottery on the walls and colorful accents. The food is incredible and I highly recommend the Cecina along with black bean and guacamole appetizers. The hibiscus tea is tasty and the staff... More

When visiting Tepoztlan and after climbing the hill to get the pyramid, you need to refresh and taste one of the best mxican tioical food restaurants out of Mexico City and not far from it. In season time you can try the famous Chiles en Nogada and anytime in the year a delicious Cecina de Yecapixtla. Also famous and exquisite... More

It seems that we were stuck in a rut with the Morelos style regional food? Once again we found it to be bland and somewhat boring. The interior had a great colorful and playful atmosphere but in our humble opinions, the menu didn't follow along.

Los colorized is a classic. All tortillas and sopes are made to order. The food is fresh and flavorful..eggs or pastries are delicious too. the decoration is very festive, highly recommended

Nothing as I expected from Mexican food. We ordered a good chees with mushrooms, with great tortillas. However, main dish was awful. "Carne asada" (beef steak) was dry and cold. My tortilla soup (their specialty) was tomato soup with avocado, chicharron (that was soaked on it!) and long time tortilla on the soup. Not recommended. Worse? Banking options: just cash.

The real deal! You wanna try authentic mexican food without spending a lot, here is the spot. You can either go for breakfast before you climb the Tepozteco or a big meal after you come down! Food is authentic, delicious and not that expensive. The decoration is fun and the wait staff very friendly. Anything you order is delicious!
