We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon - it was busy, but wasn't packed. As mentioned by other reviewers, the place is a riot of color and decorations - it'll keep you busy just looking around. We sat up on the upper balcony seating area - it was nice up there. I had the calabacitas rellenos de queso... More

Great place for a family meal! All entries are tasty and are well served. We got the lemon and chia water, just what you need to fight the heat! Don't forget to try the cecina, which is a sort of fresh beef jerky, it's salty but really good with salsa and their home made tortillas. The battered broccoli, cauliflower and... More

Excellent choice to try Mexican food. Is not expensive and the service is great. They don't have many options for vegetarians but you could try the guacamole any lentil's soup.

You can't say you've been to Tepoz without having had a traditional Mexican meal at Los Colorines. In addition to fabulous food, the interior design is something you won't want to miss. Long lines on weekends, so go early. Chile rellenos are super!

This is famous place, been around for a long time-- really authentic classic Mexican food, and not Tex-Mex by any means. The service is great, the waiters are part of the ambiance. Enjoy really nice versions of enchiladas, sopa de tortilla, mole, sopas de cecina, tacos de cecina con cebollas(roasted onions) and queso Oaxaca...2 are a full meal. The guacamole... More

Los Colorines was recommended to us in mexico city already. like the name suggests it's a very colorful atmosphere inside, friendly staff and very Mexican menu. We loved it!

Get here early as this place is very popular. The wait is worth it though if you do get here late. The atmosphere is fun and tropical with pottery on the walls and colorful accents. The food is incredible and I highly recommend the Cecina along with black bean and guacamole appetizers. The hibiscus tea is tasty and the staff... More

When visiting Tepoztlan and after climbing the hill to get the pyramid, you need to refresh and taste one of the best mxican tioical food restaurants out of Mexico City and not far from it. In season time you can try the famous Chiles en Nogada and anytime in the year a delicious Cecina de Yecapixtla. Also famous and exquisite... More

It seems that we were stuck in a rut with the Morelos style regional food? Once again we found it to be bland and somewhat boring. The interior had a great colorful and playful atmosphere but in our humble opinions, the menu didn't follow along.
