We went for a breakfast stop. Very good place to eat for breakfast. The wait staff was friendly and the food was good. Recommend the pancakes with fruit and the omelettes. The decor was fun and whimsical. Perfect location just on the corner of the square.

Overall this restaurant offers a colorful, warm atmosphere with friendly yet standard service typical in most restaurants in the area (patience is a virtue), however, I have given Colibri five stars because I had the most AMAZINGLY delicious fish filet with mango and cilantro. The fish was cooked to perfection with the compliment of the additional flavors. I seriously would... More

We went here for breakfast in March 2017, the receipt came and we chose to pay with credit card. The 10% service tax were already included but they still charged an extra 5% on the total amount. When we asked for the reason, they said it is a charge from our credit card company (which would have been highly unlikely... More

Enjoyed a nice evening here-ordered a couple of beers, lobster, fish tacos and veg fajitas. Total came to around $65usd. Decent food--store bought chips. Tacos ok, grilled lobster outstanding! But the ambience is the real star here. Quirky decor, cool art, huge margaritas. They also take credit cards. Funky place--may go back.

Nice atmosphere here. The waiters are very friendly! Lots to look at on the walls and ceiling. For dinner we chose coconut shrimp and and garlic shrimp. Food was prepared to perfection and very fresh.Give this place a try. There are a few tables outside as well.

Loved this place. Very peaceful, decent food, relaxing and inexpensive. Breakfast was delicious. Service great. Sit outside, have breakfast and watch the island come to life.

We ate here as a family and 2 of the 3 meals were not great but the enchiladas were excellent and we actually came back for them. I ordered the salad "ensalada" in spanish - but this really confused the server. It took them about 30-40 minutes before they came back and questioned what kind of "enchilada"I wanted - and... More

For all of the options for Mexican food, seafood, pizza, whatever... on Holbox, La Isla del Colibri cafe was a standout for bad food. We tried it for dinner because it was popular and seemed always busy. What we got was a mush of steamed rice and shrimp and (I swear) cream of mushroom soup, and a mush of pasta... More
