We had lunch and maybe it was because of the hot day (41 degrees C) but we were not impressed by the service and food. at all. The lady who helped us was not welcoming us in a friendly way, eventhough we made a reservation beforhand. When the lunch arrived she said "here you are" iso "enjoy your meal" and... More

We went for lunch to this small charming restaurant on the farm. Good choices on the menu prepared in no time. Our dishes were very well presented and good size. Friendly staff and quick service. Nice shop with local produce, very reasonable. Highly recommend for relaxing lunch on the farm with the view of the valley.

We travelled for 18 days through SA and the lunch we had at Die Stal was by far the best we had during our entire trip!! We truely enjoyed our Potsjiekos: the heavenly soft bread with marmelade and figs, chicken stew with a cherry tomato/feta salad and the best 'pain perdu'-like pumpkin cookies. And as a dessert an amazing malva... More

The rooster says it all - PRIDE! With lungs full of fresh air; the smell of strong, plunger-brewed (boere)coffee ... on the stoep of a beautiful, cozy, restaurant of a very well-taken-care-family-farm; with a magnificent view down the valley ... and the best breakfast one can ever dream of ... What more is there to add? [The freshly baked bread... More

We had a lovely time at Die Stal - it felt so remote and away from it all, yet quite close to town to reach. Fields with cows greet you upon arrival so you are immediately relaxed. You can sit on the veranda or out on the green grass - fresh air galore. The food was good and presented very... More

It is very relaxing having breakfast on a farm, beautiful view and healthy food. I loved the way they serve coffee in a big mocha with milk on a side. Go there to enjoy a lovely breakfast

What can I say? An absolute must! Beats best of fine dining! Even Rooibos Tea and Cheese Cake are served with Damask Linen and Style typical of the colonial motherland! Very well priced! Excellent service! Great experience

Had a lovely cup of coffee and cheese cake. Really quaint little spot with perfect outdoor area for kids to play. The cows provide superb entertainment! Take cash though, no card facilities!
