I was 2 years ago there and it was a quite good pub. End of September I come again to this pub and was shocked. Its now like a Chinese bar: loud music, annoying waitresses pushing you to drink and the toilets are also terrible. My colleague and I were there two times. First time was a party there, lot... It's not easy to find good bar in Taizhou, friends recommended Celtic pub and we enjoyed our drinks. They also serve some bar snacks which was great too.

The pub offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages and snacks, and also typically American meals like hamburgers etc. Compared to local Chinese bars it is quite pricy and that's why not very poplular among locals but quite a popular place for foreigners. They play European and American music, and have billiards and other things to entertain guests like table... More

This bar was a nice step back into a western style pub. The food was very good, even better than most pub food in the US. The chef pulled out the grill and was grilling up great burgers. Overall a really great place with really good food.

If you travel to these lost parts of China, you sometimes get the feeling that you seem to be the only foreigner around. Belive me, you are not. And if you find this pub, you will feel like you can take a little holiday from it all once in a while. The food is great and so are the portions,... More

Great place to go in the Taizhou area. I live in the Jiao Jiang district and make the trip on semi regular basis. It is worth the taxi fair, but the buses run all around here if you hop on one before 9PM. The food is amazing, and the upstairs is massive, we had a group of 5 Americans, 3... More

The Celtic House Pub is a great place to feel at home. After a long travel in China it was nice to meet Stephen the owner and have a real beer. The atmosphere was familiar and drinks were great! I will definitely visit this pub again the next time I go to Taizhou. Oh yea his wife is a fire... More

Stopped in the American owned Celtic House Pub after during a long trip in China for drinks, fun and a little breather from China. Stephen, the owner, imediately made us feel at home as he welcomed us in to his great bar. The bar is clean and very spacious, the drinks are cold, and the feeling is celtic. To me... More

Description
This a American Style Bar in Taizhou an Industrial city in China. It is run by an American (ex-corporate Chef) - Stephen Evans. It is rare to find such bars with great food and mix of drinks in big cities of China, let alone Taizhou wherein hardly any good pubs. Its a must visit for any foreigner in the city as its like an oasis in a boring city.
