My son treated my mum and me to a wonderful weekend in Montalcino and, having researched restaurants for each of our three nights, we went to Il Grappolo Blu on our first night and it was a real gem of a little restaurant, tucked away...More

Very good Tuscan food, great pasta and my fav is the veal cheeks in Brunello sauce. But the really amazing part is the wine list, it's thicker than an ancient bible and features some really interesting older Brunello vintages that Luciano, the owner keeps perfectly...More

We booked in advance which I would suggest is necessary. Easily found just off the Main Street. Lovely food. Great wine selection but out of stock on one of the wines we ordered. Friendly and helpful service.

Lovely little restaurant in Montalcino, with a real character owner. The biggest and heaviest wine list we have ever seen - half of it dedicated to Brunello. There were 6 of us and the food was a bit of a mixed bag, some lovely, some...More

Wonderful authentic food, Charming, Casual, Friendly, with typically relaxed Tuscan service and a killer wine list. Book ahead, it was full mid-week. Somewhat hard to find although it's located in the center of town, just ask directions but don't trust google maps, that took us...More

After examining the menus of a number of ristoranti in this charming Tuscan town, we decided to have dinner at Taverna del Grappolo Blu, primarily because it featured both cinghiale (wild boar) and pappa al pomodoro, a traditional Tuscan cold tomato soup. I had both...More

Had read reviews for this restaurant and must say that the food, service and atmosphere was very much enjoyed by us. A very extensive selection of wine and staff that was very helpful in pairing our food selection with a most enjoyable wine! A nice...More

We were a group of three couples. The wine recommend, both a local white and of course a Brunello were excellent! Four bottles of wine later and a great meal we left satisfied and full. Each person had a different dish which each of us...More

Went here one night for dinner. The place was very crowded (Sunday night) one waiter (I think the owner) was trying to take care of all the tables. But hey - it's TUSCANY - take your time, enjoy your wine.... Nothing I like more than...More
