The Charles Dickens is somewhere we go occasionally for a drink and/or lunch. Normally we have one of their sandwiches but today we decided to have a meal instead. I ordered the roast beef which they advertise as being rare, which is great as I like my beef very rare. However when the meal was brought out I struggled to... More

large main portions, freshly cooked, a very high standard service, very friendly waiting staff, lovely view of sea in upstairs restaurant section, everything clean tidy and spic and span, high quality everywhere. This will now be one of my regulars. The Dickens specials are very good value. cod and chips amazing.

We had a meal here last Sunday 6th of Feb. We sat upstairs, had a great view of the sea, the ambience was good & a lot quieter then downstairs. I had the slow cooked roast belly of pork, it was delicious. Lovely crispy potatoes, red cabbage & 3 other veg. the only slight problem due to my personal taste.... More

Googled for wetherspoons in Broadstairs and this pub randomly came up. Anyway the setting is marvellous, service good and drinks excellent (albeit not at wetherspoons prices). I would recommend.

Went there for breakfast, a cappuccino plus scramble eggs on toast for less than 7£. By the seafront, and staff friendly. Good stop if on your way to margate or whitstable!

Starters were great. The main roasts rate as some of the worst food I have ever had in a pub that charges premium. I ordered beef and the waitress asked if I minded rare beef. No I said. What she didn't ask is if my wife and daughters wanted raw/rare lamb. Not only that I struggled to cut the pots.... More

First time I had visited this restuarant. Had a lovely prawn and crab sandwich and a glass of wine with friends. Friends thoroughly enjoyed their lunches too- A great place with a sea view
