Do not go here with a large group. We were taken full advantage of and received awful service. We booked for a group of 14 and were told we have to do the set menu for $35 which we were told included hotcakes to share...for the table. Well, turns out there is no set menu. Basically, you order off the regular menu, but have to pay the set price regardless of what you order - I ordered the soba noodles and a coffee which came to $26 according to the menu. The hotcakes never arrived and we were told that the guy on the phone is new and that was incorrect information. Ultimately, we had to pay $35 each for a meal that would've cost $26 if we'd sat at two separate tables. Disgusting service, especially after the mistake was on them for promising hotcakes and not delivering. They could've just brought some bloody hotcakes or taken 10% off the bill and we would've been happy but instead they were incredible rude and said the extra $9 per person or whatever was a service charge for the 'large group set menu', which again, was not set at all. We have a large office of hundreds of people down the road who will certainly never be coming againMore
We’ve had brunch at Top Paddock for brunch several, times and it has always been very good. They have a very creative menu which a lot of choices.
We had Braised lamb and Soba salad. Both were delightful and we left happy. Friendly staff and very artistic plating for the food. Worth the money.
We were on holiday and heard highly of this cafe. The coffee was indeed good! We ordered Top Paddock breakfast, and one chocolate croissant. I was disappointed because the croissant was cold, chocolate was hard and small. it suppose to be warmed when they served,...so I was literally bit on a hard cold croissant. The ambience was nice! Good coffee, but need fine tuning on food.More
Top Paddock is one of three stablemates of the restaurant group that also owns Higher Ground and Kettle Black. All of them a excellent. They have similar menus with slight variations on each. I found the staff really efficient here. They were efficient without being...particularly familiar of friendly. The ricotta hotcakes are what Top Paddock are known for and they are truly outstanding. The coffee was excellent too. It gets incredibly busy so do book if you want to try them.More
This place is very loud so much so we could not hear the staff speak, of course mask do not help. My dish had a lot of kale and the vegetarian replacements for the bacon/chorizo was very light on but oh how there was a...lot of kale. The cold press juice was ordinary as well. All at the table said they would not order again what they had. Very busy place may be I am just getting too old!More
Great place for brekky, and coffee with great atmosphere. I had the eggs benny and it was very tasty
Fabulous food...a photo tells a thousand words...seriously well thought out. These people know how to look after their customers.
Really enjoyed the food and ambience of the place. Went on a weekday, and even then, it was moderately packed. Very popular spot, so book in advance. Especially love the blueberry and ricotta hotcake, but you need a couple of people to share this with.
Super quick service. Had eggs on sourdough with avocado and bacon on the side. Served with half an avocado with skin on and was the biggest most delicious avo!! Latte was great. Highly recommend!
Tried the ricotta hotcakes, which I had really high expectations for. The portion was generous and could be shared by 2 ppl. Personally, I prefer savoury breakfast and would recommend "top paddock".
Another Great Experience. My 3rd visit to Melbourne in last 6 months and my 3rd visit to Top Paddock. Because it was Women’s Day today, so bit crowded but the wait was worth it. The smiling crew, vibrant atmosphere and a hot latte to start....Once again my favourite dish, The Top Paddock. Look forward to my next trip to Melbourne 🥂More
Great spot for breakfast on a Sunday morning in Melbourne. It was recommended by a friend and didn’t disappoint.
This is BY FAR my favourite restaurant in the city for brekky! I am from Canada and moved to Melbs the end of November and have been to Top Paddock AT LEAST 5 Or 6 times which is in my opinion, devotion! The service is...always impeccable! The food presentation is also on point! I never leave this place hungry which is why I keep coming back! The ambience of this establishment is very new age and hip and I’m definitely vibing when I visit there! The espresso martini is phenomenal paired with THE TOP PADDOCK breakfast.More
