Probably the best restaurant in this area of Zanzibar. Highly recommended! Food very fresh. Recommended to step into an hour or two earlier to order food. They need to collect ingredients from the village (in another restaurants the same way). Waiter/ owner helped us with trip to snorkel with dolphins (with the best price we checked in few places). Very... More

Really nice people, simple but delicious food, and inexpensive. If you tell them you are coming they will have everything ready when you arrive.

We came here for lunch twice. The first time was great the second time the chef disappeared so we had to leave hence the two star rating. This is a cool place if you like laid back. The clue is in the name! It's a bit ramshackle but with the African sun in the sky and reggae in the background... More

We've visited Stone Culture during holidays at Zanzibar. We've been at many places and eat at many restaurants, but Stone Culture is the best of them. Everyone should try "Fat Fat Fisherman", a dish thanks to which we'll definitely visit that place again.

Visited this restaurant with my family for dinner. Vegetable curry and pilau was excellent. Beef was also good. Very relaxed casual atmosphere. Situated on the beach. Friendly host who is also a tour operator in the area. Coconut cake made from fresh coconut and cardomam is a must with spice chaai.

We went here two nights in a row! The food is really delicious, and we loved the quaint, local vibe. They give large portions, and brought us dessert for free even though we didn't order it. The fish curries, calamari, crepes, vegetables, and prawns were all lovely. Highly recommend.

Don't expect a fancy place, the restaurant is very basic. However with the few things nature and with a glimpse of artistic creativity, it has it soul and and a cool vibe. Amazing food, good value for money, just a bit difficult to find. Try the fish dishes and fresh coconut juice, everything is very fresh and tasteful. If you're... More

You have to come early afternoon to ensure they have what you need. We ordered lobster, and had a dedicated table with flowers on it waiting for us when we arrived. The tastes were amazing and the staff dedicated. It is very laid back but you get the feeling of a typical local place. I would definitely recommand and come... More
