Lovely pub, very friendly. To die for views at the end of the harbour, definitely the best pub at Porthleven. Stopped off for a couple of pints....then mega lovely south west path walk...back to pub, for smashing evening pub meal. Took friends to pub as knew they would be impressed. Don't miss out...visit ..this is what Cornwall is all about.

Great pub, great beer and lovely staff. But what happend to your menu? Boring, dull! Come on landlord we have had great meals in the past. So disappointed with the poor choice!

The Ship serves excellent beer and the chips are not bad either! There is a lively atmosphere inside. Outside there is a large garden overlooking Porthleven harbour. One of our 'must visit' places.

We stayed in Porthleven for one night and walking around the harbour spotted this real gem of a traditional pub. It is quite quirky inside and has a great atmosphere with friendly staff and locals. Cosy with good views too. Shame we didn't get to eat here as we had already booked dinner where we were staying but the Ship... More

This is just what a pub should be, busy, friendly customers and staff, great food nothing too grand. The mussels were superb - as good as they get. Lovely situation looking down on the harbour entrance, and best of all if you can get a window seat, but they are in great demand. We shall definitely be back to the... More

Went here a few times during our stay last week. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and the food was superb. We had the salt and pepper squid to start, mussels and frites and steak. Really good quality and tasty food. Really recommend if you want a traditional pub with good food.

If you are looking for a proper Cornish, friendly pub then look no further. Located at the entrance to the harbour with great sea views, there is no better place than to sit and enjoy real Cornish ales with a real Cornish welcome. Its proper rustic inside with a quirky decor which Im not going to spoil for you, you... More

Very friendly cosy pub with great atmosphere. We went for a drink as dogs allowed and stayed for dinner. Small interesting menu wasn't sure we would find something for everyone to eat only 4 starters to choose from but food was superb. The Chowder and Hake was exceptional. My Beef & Oyster pie was just as it should be highly... More

Great location overlooking the harbour. Cosy nooks around a log fire or window seats to watch the tide rolling in. Outside seating if it's warm. Good homemade soup and range of sandwiches, all fresh and tasty. Washed down with a pint of Doom Bar. Friendly staff and you can just imagine a couple of local smugglers plotting in the corner.
