Porters can be found in the market square and although reasonably large we visited on market day (Friday) so it was pretty busy. Good coffee and reasonably priced. Staff gave us a warm welcome. Warm home made scones were very tasty.

Pleasant but unremarkable - just another coffee shop. Strange layout internally, felt a little uncomfortable with nearly all seats facing into the room (and towards other customers). Trip to use the (shared) facility exposed some unsightly areas at the back.

I had the home made quiche which was excellent and my other half had gammon and egg. Food arrived very quickly even though the place was extremely busy, being Good Friday. Would eat there again.

Great place that we always stop off at on our way to Whitby. They have a lovely open fire and cosy seating area, we have sat outside in the summer too. Great food and prices and the personal touch is much appreciated.

Have been here several times and am always impressed -you are always made to feel welcome. Nice range of sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and paninis together with a variety of cakes, biscuits and croissants. Wide range of hot and cold drinks. Very comfortable surroundings with open fire and also a pleasant outside area which we've used in summer.

In the Winter you can kick back and relax inside in front of a lovely real fire and in the Summer sitting out on the terrace it is definitely an all year round place to get great coffee and food.

Although we visited on a warm day, there was still a fire in the hearth. The tables are well spaced and there is seating outside, too. Inside some chairs are more comfortable than others and include sofas. Food is fairly limited, though there is a good selection of sandwiches. Service is friendly and attentive. No parking but is close to... More

Called in here after work to meet up with a friend for coffee. Ordered at the counter and a waitress brought our drinks over. My cappuccino was delicious as was the caramel shortbread my friend and I shared. Drinks came with a caramel biscuit too. Sat in a comfy sofa near the fire which was a bonus. The staff were very...
