Had a cuppa and cake after visiting the walled garden with hubby & our dog. Pretty vintage crockery and views of the garden. Well worth a visit. Love it!

After wandering around the lovely gardens we stopped for a pot of Yorkshire Tea. At £4.60 for a pot that contained 7 cups, the price was an absolute bargain and the tea delicious!
We chose this cafe because of the delightful location in the old greenhouses of the Walled Garden and were delightfully surprised by the imaginative cooking. Great use of fresh produce. Quite special.
My hot chocolate was absolutely gorgeous; my husband's pot of tea was like dishwater (1 teabag in a large pot of hot water). So we were disappointed. Set in lovely gardens with helpful staff reasonably priced.More

Quite a large group of people at the counter choosing cake etc when we arrived so it took a while to get served but that was fair enough. After I'd paid £11.20 for tea for two and two slices of cake (which seemed pretty expensive)...More

We were fortunate enough to have some late summer sun and be able to sit in the lovely patio area. Good coffee, tasty scones and a lovely bacon sandwich. Exceptionally polite staff. Maybe not the cheapest but not expensive and you get what you pay...More
