Rarintarn is one of those places you will think of and miss when reflecting back on a trip. I miss it a lot 😂😂😂. My family n I ate there 3 days in a row in early February. Back when the world was different. Before...Covid-19. This restaurant deserves a great review because it is not only the best Thai restaurant in Khao Yai/Pak Chong, hands down. But it also is better than many posh restaurants I have been to Bangkok. At a fraction of Bangkok prices. BEST FOR LESS!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great ambience, backing a creek. Outdoor deck is very nice but coz of the humidity, we opted for indoor AC comfort. The lady owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. Almost all of food items that we ordered were outstanding. Prawn cakes (tod man kung) was amazing, you can taste its the prawns and not oily. Fresh oil used. Soft shell crab curry was so fresh and full of flavour. Likewise for a deceptively simple but very hard to-do-well dish, fish fillet (snapper) rice porridge. This was the best I have ever tasted (no small compliment coming from a Teochew). The fried rice noodles (kwey teow) was perfectly balanced, full of wok hei (smoker charcoal) flavor. I highly highly recommend Rarintarin.More

We loved this restaurant. We had fried papaya salad, green curry and minced spicy pork. Every meal was excellent and extraordinary. A must go.

We asked our driver for a local restaurant we could go to for supper as we were not hungry at dinnertime. Arrived after 8pm to a deserted cafe (size wise it's more like a cafe than restaurant) and thought we entered the wrong place. Absolutely...no regrets dining there. From the reviews I've read, this cafe is still not very well known to tourists, which is nice if you're looking for somewhere that's not too commercialised. We had the soft shell crab with curry spices which was superb, the fried local vegetables (sorry I cannot name the vegetable as it does look native to Thailand) which was SO tasty, fried glass noodles with seafood which was also very good. To top it off, we each had a ice-blended drink, we wife ordered the ice-blended Mango (MUST TRY!) and I the ice-blended lime which is good as well. All in a all a wonderful experience and the bill came to under 400 BHT (no TAXES!). So happy that our driver recommended this place!More
