Amazing how the shophouse spaces were transformed and decorated to resemble a roadhouse in Texas. Staff very attentive on our visit. The kids ran about looking at the walls, instead of their phones. This really is an interesting restaurant facility and a fun place to investigate. It is obvious that the owner has spent a great deal of time pulling together a tremendous amount of old Texas memorabilia. This alone is worth the visit. As for the food...it is okay but I cannot really rave about it. We had the Rib Eye set which includes salad, your choice of soup, a glass of wine, garlic bread, the steak and mixed fruit to finish the meal. All were good, but there is just nothing special here. Great service by a very friendly young lady made this a very pleasant dinner. While this is not a place I would return to often, it is worth a a visit.More

I live in Pakchong and have been visiting this restaurant for the last 20 years. Today, I ordered a Tenderloin Steak -medium. What I got was a 1 cm thick, burned and dry peace of meat. I could not eat it ,paid 400,- Baht and...left very upset. I will not go again to this restaurant. The quality of meat was very bad and the way the staff prepare the steak is very incompetent. Great decor but surprisingly we were the only customers for dinner. By its very name one would expect US or Aussie beef but alas it is Thai and not that good. My wife was wiser and chose sweet & sour Sea Perch which she thought...excellent, also the garlic bread with herbs. Service was quick and efficient and the cost was very reasonable.More
There was one group of about a dozen there when we arrived. So the occupancy was about 30% full. We waited an hour before getting garlic bread. Salad for the steaks came out ..and..then...the .. .. .. steaks came. Mine tasted pretty good the others...not so impressed. Little attention paid to rare Vs medium. Then the burgers came out after 3 of us had finished steaks. Maybe it was a bad night or whatever for the staff - but it was an appalling visit. Plus side there is some interesting Americana on the walls.More

Owner "Buffalo Bill" is a New Yorker, moved to California, with a home, business, and family in Thailand. Great selection of American, Italian, and Thai food. Head chef, Ing and her staff do a great job. We have eaten there twice. Had Thai food once...and a steak once. Both were excellent. Restaurant has good size capacity. Most of the time service was very good. However, when it gets almost full, staff has to work hard to keep up. We love Thai food so really appreciated the menu selection and quality. The steak was also very well presented and enjoyable. The memorabilia, antiques, and nostalgic items from movies and the cowboy motif were entertaining for the entire stay. One could spend an hour just looking at all of the items. Some of the dining booths are set up like inside a covered wagon. Fun and great photo opportunities. Its entertaining for the whole family. Those who were critical of the prices may have been comparing very inexpensive Thai meals. We felt the prices were very reasonable and the quality was excellent. I will definitely stop there again on a future trip.More

Interesting restaurant and a good selection of food. The staff were friendly. The portions however were fairly small and the food was slightly overpriced. Could be better.
Been coming here for years and to be honest, the service has got worse. Has gone from a welcome when you walked in to just been ignored. Called in last night with my wife for a meal. The bell above the door rings as you...enter but there was no hello or smile from the staff as they watched us walk in. Ordered drinks and the meals. Drinks fame is pretty quickly shortly followed by a side salad for my steak. 10 minutes later my wifes Thai meal arrived. A further 20 minutes later my steak arrived, with a potato salad, by which time my wife had almost finished her meal. Where is the skill of bringing meals together? Started my meal and the potato in the salad was raw, hard. My steak was okay, nothing special considering the price, and my wife said her Thai meal was only average. Doubt if we'll go again ...More
Friendly-ish welcome until we got through the door. There was only one member of staff who could manage a smile. And we didn't really like being referred to as farangs. A waitress took our appetiser order and walked away half way through and sent another...waitress over to finish out order. Not sure why. We ordered soup and Garlic bread, which was nice. We then waited a while for someone to clear our plates and take our next order as all the waitresses were sat at the bar on their phones taking selfies. We eventually ordered pork steak from the set menu. It suspiciously came out in about 5 mins. Half of it was fat the other half was undercooked. The mash was nice though... And they charge 3% to use a Thai card which in two years I've never seen.More

After traveling for a long time, and enjoying asian food. I was dreaming of a place that reminded me of home.. Arriving to Pack Chong I looked in trip advisor for an american or mexican restaurant and I was in awe when I saw that...there was a restaurant called TEXAS SALOON. I was a little doubtful about the quality of the food or the place, but as soon as I came in, I felt like traveling back in time to Texas. The owner ( a real cowboy) =) ! greeted me and all of the restaurant´s staff was just as friendly as him! He allowed me to set up my office, like he said! all of the afternoon while waiting for my train and I had a delicious meal! Super recomended if you are ever in PAK CHONG! Excelent prices, food, and service!More
