Buddy was the best restaurant we visited in Koh Samet! We went there 3 times despite we stayed at the hotel Paradee which is 20+ min from restaurant in taxi. The thai food we had was very good. I recommend you also try number 74....We went there because it was recommended by friends of us as. You might think that is does not look so cosy with the plastic chairs, but it really is because people make places😊 The service is really great and Deng is outstanding. Also the owner is there and he really pays attention to make sure all his guests have a good time.More
Added a service charge of 10% to the advertised price on sitting down and having a beer so decided not to eat what appeared to be an overpriced menu anyway . Lot of Farang food . Got an extra star for nice view .
Low quality food which was poorly tasting. Very salty. We (2 persons) ate Som Tam, grilled chicken and grillend pork. Sauces were badly tasting. Kao Pad chicken (medium size) cost 250 Baht. Other restaurants starts at 50 for small and 80 for medium size. Including...one Chang and one Mango Smoothy, we paid nearly 1000 Baht. Should have been less than 500. Our visit to the toilet after expressed the experience. To be avoided. There are much better places than this on Koh Samet.More

Setting was excellent, service fun, Thai food great. Anyone expecting perfect western food will be disappointed but given that you're on a beach in Thailand it was ok enough for some of our group.
The place is very nice (on the sand, near the sea). The food is good with raisonnables prices. However, the service charge is not including (10%) which is not acceptable as all taxes must be included in the price.

Yet another beach front eatery that charges high prices for food and drink. Don’t get me wrong it’s the same all over the island - your trapped so have to pay it. Basic food here but expensive prices I would suggest. Beer prices are just...so silly they probably lose more profit than they make as who wants to pay that ! Cozy, beside the beach. That's it. Food is okay, not something I would go back for. The pizza was good, but I ate a pizza on another place with much better taste and at a cheaper price.

I had a fantastic dinner here tonight enjoying the sun go down on the beach. I thought to myself can it get any better. Well if I had a nice woman with me it could have but my Pad Thai and Beef Burger and coke...and water was all delicious and service was good. Price not too bad so I highly reccomend!More

We ordered quite a bit of food and it was delicious and great. The service was quick and with a smile. Price was very good too. Location superb, right on the beach, watching the sea and a lot of people watching. Only downside and what...put me off my food was it began to rain so they brought an umbrella for us, which we were grateful for but as they opened the umbrella, a cockroach fell onto our table and well it stayed there. I am sure more fell on me which really started to make me itch! The live cockroach was flicked away by waitress and I know this was not their fault but it did put me off the food a little. Perhaps they should open umbrellas away from tables before coming to your table. Overall, food was great, service was good and would recommend.More

Great Thai food for breakfast. The Tom Yam soup is spicy, but you can choose how hot you want it to be. The yogurt shakes are also very good
Had a lovely lunch at this place, 4 adults all had different meals and all were delicious. Reasonable price too. 4 meals and 4 drinks for under 800 bhat. Not too fancy but service was ok.
