Superb wait service with warm, friendly staff very keen to oblige in every way. The restaurant was very busy, yet we were still made to feel special. Crisp, white table napkins on black marble with sparkling, clean cutlery. Quite an extensive menu also offering seasonal specialities, such as white asparagus. that is, unless the cook stays, but unfortunately that was not the case. i have been a "regular" customer at Tomatorello for quite a few years, and really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere. this used to be one of the better places in the area,with truly honest Italian cuisine. when making the annual reservation for the annual reunion with friends,... I had the tagliatelle with mussels and shrimps. We were a group of 10. It was not bad but not inspired neither. The seasoning was missing. The service was polite but not efficient ( salad dishes came long time after we had to start eating the hot dishes,... ) In the end the food is OK but far away overpriced.

My anti-pasta was the scampi with tomato sauce. I expected to have more spicy flavors, which it had not. The scampi and the sauce where fresh and good, though. The ravioli was fresh made and well cooked. The cheese sauce and nut where tasteful. Espresso was good, but did not come with water. The service was OK, but not more... More
