The ice cream here is simply the best around - the liquorice and hazelnut are particularly good. They also do delicious pastries and good coffee and have friendly staff. It is well worth the walk from the more touristy historic centre.
Ciccio is THE place you must visit if travelling around what is called Alto Salento.
