Not The best location because terrace is on a road, view on chateaux Picasso, owner is very polite, tajine is very well prepared and it is worthy to have a stop there. They also prepare very nice salads too if you don't fancy tasting Moroccan plates! Interesting restaurant to plan a stop when passing by

We called way ahead of time to book a table for lunch ( for 12.30). When we got there we got seated. It took 30mins before an overstressed waiter arrived. Half an hour later.. the waiter came to tell us that half of what we ordered were no longer available. We placed another order, only for a waitress to come... More

We had a salad and some vino. which was quite ok. Before going into restaurant, I asked if they accept master card which was posted on the window. She said yes. This was very important as we only had a few euros to get us through the next few days in case of problems. When I went pay the 24... More

We had dinner twice at this restaurant during our stay in Vauvenargues. First time to just have dessert, and the pies were amazing! Second time I had the lamb, grilled on the open fire in the restaurant, and my plate, which included provencal tomato and potatoes, was very tasty, warm and just left me to lick the plate! Service was... More

We stumbled on this simple restaurant in a charming location. We sat at one of the outside tables looking over the valley and were surprised and pleased to find that the 'plat du jour' was not couscous but French. We shared a generous helping of 'alouettes sans tetes' - not Cordon Blue but tasty and wholesome and served with a... More

small and simple restaurant in a middle of village with few tables across the road from the kitchen: beautiful view in the valley and back of St Victoire mountain - you go there for the location more than food itself, to enjoy calm if the place

We only stopped for a drink thank goodness, the location was great but such miserable service! My wife ordered drinks (in French) after a significant wait and the waiter made a huge fuss about not understanding her order. I speak French, and as a young man I am sure he spoke enough English to interpret the order without humiliating his... More

The Couscoussier is southern France at its best - good food and wine in a charming setting. The complicated couscous recipe is available every day for larger parties, but reserve ahead to on Sunday afternoon when the couscous is usually the menu of the day (22 euros including a delicious dessert with seasonal ingredients as well as the best dark... First of all, this place has a double entry. It is the same as this URL http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g644140-d3863431-Reviews-La_couscosserie_provencale-Vauvenargues_Bouches_du_Rhone_Provence.html Vauvenargues is where the artist Pablo Picasso is buried, and from the patio of the restaurant you get a good view of the bastide (caste-manor house) that he owned and where he is buried. It is incredibly scenic. As a matter of fact,... More

Nice view to the castle in a nice little village. Ordinary food, but the worst behavior from the chef I have ever experienced. An unpleasant, ill, and angry little guy. Watching how he acted against staff as well as guests ruined our trip to the place.
