This place will satisfy, rather than amaze. Good selection on the menu and they focus on seasonal fare, which is great in this region.

One of my favourite restaurants in the area. The vegetarian anti pasto is out of this world. Only niggle, they always seem to serve on cold plates!

Our last night in Bagni di lucca, had a great night at the Cavalier Bruno. The surroundings are rich and warm, lovely white table cloths, which is hard to find, everywhere you go its usually paper cloths which I'm a little tired of! The food was outstanding. Service was really great, ( old school). Wish we had discovered it earlier!!... More

This was a great disappointment. Our truffle dish had none of that unique flavour and yes the pasta was ok but 16 euro for a small starter! Our steak was billed as fillet but was obviously not and the pepper sauce felt cloying when served on cold plates. The service was even cooler. We arrived in a downpour, soaking wet... More

I have just found an old receipt from my visit to this restaurant in October 2014 and the wonderful memories came flooding back. I remember three of us had the two course set menu plus wine and the pasta with egg and truffle was the best thing I've eaten in a long time, it was simply delicious! The proprietor was... More

My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant and had lunch here, we were staying in Popiglio. It was lovely, really, very good. we had the mixed horderves which were amazing, I had spaghetti with truffles and my husband had langoustine, which he loved. The staff were extremely friendly, very nice. The time it took for our food to arrive... More

We went for lunch on Easter weekend when most of the other restaurants were serving set menus and fully booked - this one wasn't full (or serving a fixed menu) which is probably saying something. It is a dark restaurant decor-wise and the service felt to be in a similar vein - despite trying to chat to the hostess she... More

I have eaten here before over the years, but this time all was not 100% okay. One of the boys [age 6] in our party had a "pizzza" [prepared with bread totally unsuitable for a pizza] which was uneatable including the most salty ham I ever have come across in Italy. So I gave the boy my pasta with funghi... More

We visited this restaurant with friends on their recommendation to try the truffle starter for 12 euro. I have to say it was very good. The restaurant offered a good choice of starters from 5 to 12 euro. Overall the restaurant has a very rustic charm and caters well for vegetarians offering excellent pasta options. Mains came in from 12... More

Description
Taste out of the ordinary ..... Historical place with great ambiance is located in Ponte a Seraglio, near the oldest casino in Bagni di Lucca and the Baths of Bath Hot. The clientele, always demanding and attentive, follows the evolution of the Restaurant "Bruno Cavalier" from back in 1949. Our kitchen is very attentive to the tastes: it offers fragrant homemade pasta and meat dishes with white truffle, also on soapstone, porcini mushrooms Garfagnana, traditional soups, fish soup, vegetarian and gluten free. The wine list is interesting, considering the labels.
