We were in Pienza at lunchtime and were looking for a restaurant when we saw this pretty patio at the end of the road. We did not have high expectations for the food but we were pleasantly surprised. The homemade pasta was really good! Loved the thick noodles. We saw other people having nice looking salads too. Overall, a nice... More
The food was all very freshand tasty. Great local "pici" (thick fresh spaghetti) and the various condiments we tried were all good. So was the suckling pig and the melted pecorino in earthenware. Also the zuppa with veg and beans. Generous portions. good house wine. went there twice in a row in march.- had been there a year ago too.... More
This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and we weren't disappointed. The little pork was really good and could easily have been shared if we had only known. That would have left us with more room to try more food which we would have enjoyed. Roberto was a wonderful host. We saw him around town in the next... More
We had dinner here during off-season and we're pleasantly surprised. The roasted suckling pig was AMAZING! Melted in your mouth and couldn't stop eating it. The tagliatelle with duck sauce was delicious too. If we didn't make reservations somewhere else we would have gone back the second night :)
Finding something open in January in Pienza is a challenge, so when you find a place open, you try. So we did. It's very simple, honest menu, simple service. Prices a bit high and nothing amazing but it's good. Try the Maialino 🐷 or Tris of cheese 🧀, they are very nice (avoid the local wine). Anyway a safe and... More
This was a fine experience. The meal that I had was the local pasta, somewhat like a fat spaghetti with delicious boar ragu. Others had delicious cacio e pepe and carbonara. I tasted samples.
Not just standard pastas, but a bit better. Cute location, good service, proper preparation, excellent flavors. You will not go wrong!
This is a local spot where you will find the best local flavors, atmosphere and friendly service. The food is delicious. The cost is reasonable and the portions are large. Make sure to try the desserts.
