We followed recommendation of tour book, and the restaurant really lives up to all the good reviews! We had steak and pici. The steak was tender, and juicy. The pici with meat sauce was cooked to perfection. Yummy!!

If you want LOCAL flavors, definitely pop a squat here and anjoy the pecorino tasting board. (Pecorino is the local cheese.) With some beers also made in the area. Great lunch or pre-dinner snack.

Very small place, with a relaxed environment (not a good place for a quick bite, best for a sit down meal). Tasty food, in particular the Papardelle alla Gary, a papardelle with a wild boar ragu, plenty for one or a fair amount for two. Price as €63 for 3 during lunch.

I was hesitant to walk in as it seemed more of a bar as quite small. I was delighted to find that this charming restaurant offered not only a great menu but homemade Ribollito Soup which was delicious. The owner upon hearing it was my birthday the next day treated everyone to Prosecco and gave me a tasting of Brunello... More

This could quite possibly be my favorite meal during our 3 week trip in Italy. Italians are known for their food, but La Buca di Enea takes it to the next level - if that's even possible. My husband and I ordered two wild boar dishes (one with pici and another with a red tomato sauce) and had the pecorino... More

La Buca di Erea is a tiny restaurant. Our party of 12 booked out the restaurant completely. The bruschetta were the best we encountered in our two weeks in Tuscany. A superb salad was served and we all had different pastas – pici, tagliatelle and ravioli. A pear tart finished the meal and complimentary Grappa and Limoncello were served. Host... More

The menu is the same for lunch and dinner. The owner/chef is very engaging. Excellent Duck Ragu, Boar stew, vegetable soup, Tagliatelle with mushrooms and more. There are several charcuterie type platters which are also excellent value. It is a small restaurant but the value is large. It is also clean.

This tiny place in Pienza is a gem! First night my husband had wild boar stew and the owner paired with a very fine Montepulciano wine. He was over the moon and insisted every day that we must return. On our last night we returned and he had wild boar over pasta with a Brunello from Montalcino. Happy camper! I... More

This is a small little place in Pienza so best to make a reservation. The food is simple but delicious Tuscan. Don't miss the grilled veggies and the cinghale is wine. House wine is good too,
