The girl who was seeing to us was very ignorant!...she didnt smile once and didnt look happy to be there. Her customer service attitude... More

Can recommend this homely pub for pleasant and relaxed rooms, excellant value for 3 course lunch, have known the owner Gary for many years always quality meals. Am about to book for our Christmas party, never disappointed in over 10 years. Enjoy

I arranged a surprise family gathering for my mums 70th birthday and chose the Heroes The day was a massive success. The food was lovely (drinks are a little pricey) and everybody in our party of 22 commented on how much they enjoyed it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful which contributed to the overall atmosphere- slightly faster service... More

Called here Monday 24 October about 4.30pm to get something to eat But dubious on first entering as there was a funeral wake in mid-flow but the incredibly friendly and helpful waitress assured us we could sit as far away as possible I had the meatloaf with mash and the missus had the burger. Both meals were absolutely lovely. There... More

We haven't been to the Heroes for a while but decided on a last minute visit. Not at all disappointed. The food is always beautifully presented and the staff friendly and helpful. We had mushroom soup, pan fried sea bass and a beautifully creamy seafood chowder. Delicious. Following this i had a tasty panacotta with a warm gingerbread slice and... More

Went for lunch at this restaurant, it was very clean and homely. The meal was well worth the money, I had steak and wine pie, chips and veg and fruit kebabs with chocolate dipping sauce, it was delicious and everything was fresh. Iwould definitely recommend

We had this pub recommended to us for the lunch time special for seniors or as I call us pensioners. A 2 course meal was around £7, the helpings were decent, the food well cooked and the group of four I was with were all satisfied with the quality and amount we had. The service was good and considering they... More
