We are here several nights whilst staying at the hotel. Generally the food was very good although sometimes the combinations didn't work e.g. lovely pork but served with broccoli risotto which was not to our taste. The dining room is too dark and we didn't like the fact that when some of our food was served there was a strong... More

Gorgeous venue with funky retro decor - very brave of the owners not to go down the traditional way a manor house is decorated/furnished. Great to see modern artwork hung for sale too. Ambient restaurant and bar area with great mellow music. Excellent Sunday roast beef was melt in the mouth tender with great veg sides. Wonderful clove panna cotta... More

I like to be able to identify what I am about to consume but unfortunately the presentation of the fish dish I had ordered made this impossible & I had no idea what I was actually eating. The food was presented in such a peculiar style that it did not appear particularly appetizing but more like a piece of strange... More

This place has the look and feel of top-notch fine dining. But the service needs work. They called an hour before our reserved time to confirm our Open Table reservation. Not a day or two before, but exactly one hour before- it was just odd. After arriving, they put us in the bar because we were a few minutes early.... More

Was rather disappointed with the choice of restaurant menu, we went with three friends and between us there was nothing that really appealed to us, to the point we thought we would have to go elsewhere. A majority of the dishes had an element of curry which we found strange. However the helpful waiter offered us the bar menu which... More

Husband tried pigeon and hake for lunch, I chose the pork, lovely. Came for dinner also. I had the crispy hens egg with gnocchi. Definitely wouldn't have that again. Hubby had Haunch of Vension and a white chocolate icecream dessert. Raved about them both.

We enjoyed our dinner at the hotel recently. The food was generally of a good quality and the menu varied, however a lot of the dishes were crying out for a bit of sauce!

We went to Combe Grove for Sunday lunch as a birthday treat. The restaurant has a lovely intimate feel due to its size with lovely views out to the grounds of the manor. The menus offers 3 courses but you can chose to just have the roast. We went for 2 courses. We were brought out a lovely round, warm... More
