Went for an evening meal with my two kids. 100% won't be back the lentil soup was microwaved to a point it was still bubbling like lava went it came out. But we looked beyond it. The main course steak pie X2, and salmon fillet. Terrible ! Pie pastry was still soft and under cooked frozen chips and pre packed... More

We are sorry you did not enjoy your meal and I have to say I was horrified at your review. I find your suggestion that our food is frozen very offensive as all our fish, meat and veg are delivered daily. I would also like to invite you to pop in at any time and our chef will happily show... More

Lentil soup delicious, warm fresh bread and butter, just a lovely starter on a cold November night. My partner had the steak pie, I had the penne carbonara, both were amazing, lots of attention to detail, fresh parmesan etc. Waitresses were lovely and friendly, quick to serve and offer more drinks. First time visiting and would definitely return to try... More

Went for lunch on a sunday afternoon. All of us thought our meals were delicious. Very fresh side salads. Nothing was left on our plates. Really, nice, pleasant waitress. Id definitely go back here before other local restaurants. Very reasonably priced and lovely decor. Hope more people read this and give it a try.

Attended here for a football function and was very disappointed with the time that it took to serve a 3 course meal. There appeared to be enough waiter and waitresses but the spent most of their time queuing at the entrance of the kitchen awaiting the food being plated. Also with a function not due to finish before midnight they... More

This was the first time my wife and I had visited this inn for a meal . We both decided to have the 3 course lunch menu. The filled potato skins starter was very good . We both had the vegetable stroganoff which was exceptional with a substantial portion size. We finished with banana cake and toffee sauce and I... More

A reasonably priced dinner with my wife and daughter. Much of the menu is fairly standard pastas and snacks but tasty and well presented. Service was fairly good and the surroundings were nicely furnished and well presented. Ideal for: a night with nothing in the house - a no nonsense wholesome dinner. I'd likely travel further afield for a special... More

The name does not exactly tell you much here but yes it is a good family restaurant. The menu does cater for most tastes and although it is not outstanding it is good value. The dining room has plenty of space and therefore good for family get togethers. I have visited the restaurant over many years from when it first... More

Spent three enjoyable nights here with colleagues and found rooms basic but comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the choices available on the menu the food was fresh, well presented and good value for money. The dinning area has its tables well spaced out which I liked. Nothing worse than feeling your sharing your conversation with the people at the... More

Always a consistent good service and a first rate eating experience in this countryside restaurant. The menu is varied enough to suit all tastes and ages and is not expensive. you can book by phone, or drop in, and they will do their best to accommodate you even when they are busy.
