Lunch with my father & daughter was excellent, could not fault the food & it was so busy we had to queue but well worth it. Positioned overlooking the water in a very nice old fashioned building it's certainly a real old fashioned type of restaurant with lots of good quality food. The portions are more than generous & would... More

I love this place, it's an oasis of luxury in miles of nothingness. Great to sit outside in the nicer weather. Stopped off on my way back from Wick. Staff are incredibly friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. A variety of great seating, and lovely squishy sofas. Food is always excellent, and am never disappointed. Had a wonderful beef and... Good choice of food, meals were well cooked with good size portions. More of a self service than table service but not a problem for us.

We arrived today around 12.15 queued out door to be told we had to wait in queue until we had our food before we could find a table there was 7 of us - my concern was would there be a table big enough to fit us all as we needed 3 highchairs aswell! The attitude of the guy that... More

A midweek visit to the very interesting place. We asked for the exhibit to be opened and the kindly staff obliged. We were not disappointed. Very well thought out and seeped in history we though;y enjoyed having it all to ourselves and the film show was excellent. We also had lunch in the extremely busy restaurant..lots of choice and fabulous... More

Place is always busy, and you might wait min in queue, but food is local and good, and staff very pleasant. As a bonus the adjacent shop sells lots of good quality local deli type food.

We visited for a family lunch around 1.30pm and the queue was out the door. However it moved quickly and we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Plenty choice for adults and kids. Helpful staff - found us a table, and let us jump the queue to order desserts! Great shop, view, park for kids. Excellent all round.

I tend to avoid this as a stop off on the way north to Orkney. It's a victim of its own success because it's always really busy. But if you do go you will be assured of really excellent food and service. Breakfast is especially good. There's lots of choice and ingredients seem fresh and local. There are comfortable seats,... The restaurant is large enough to take coaches with plenty of seating and lots of staff which is a good point. The food is good and reasonably priced. There is a large car park but be warned getting out again onto the main A9 road in the summer might be a wait because of the traffic. If you are looking... More
