When you walk into Otranto and have parked at the big parking area in the town centre, you can't miss the place. Easy to find and parking around the corner. We had during a rainy day an "al fresco" place and what is better to have a good dinner whilst it is raining outside? the place offers good food, good... More

Recommended by our hotel, we had a great meal at this very authentic Italian restaurant. Very little English spoken by waiters and most diners were Italians. All we had to do was let the waiter choose for us a seafood meal which was first class. Also great atmosphere and easy to think you are alocal.

We were recommended here by our hotel. The first time we came for lunch. The menu was all in Italian but both the owner and the waiter (both of whom were FANTASTIC) made up small plates of the best seafood dishes to have. I ordered some wine - but was recommended a better one and then to my delight it... More

Every thing was perfect. The food is very good, fresh and tasty. The staff is polite and nice, they explain all the dishes. The price/quality is good. I would recomend it to everyone.

Decided to try lunch here on our way to visit the old town. We were drawn by the posted picture of prawns and pasta and disappointed that there was nothing like that on the menu. Our server was nice enough, but was involved with some locals. Explained we did not know enough about local seafood and he didn't really offer... More

Does it deserve the place that it holds I guess not. Food was average, staff - kind. Probably a lot of people are going there since it's close to the big parking place and the beach.. if you're just hungry and don't really care about your culinary trip not a problem.

Oh gosh... . Both my partner and I felt sick after eating there due to a strange tasting/smelling FILLED ZUCCHINI FLOWERS which were obviously microwaved. A shame On the positive side: welcoming service.

A very popular restaurant, and you understand why after trying the food - it was lovely!! The staff were very serviceminded and arranged a special pasta (not on the menu) for our 7-year old. Well worth a visit, but reserve a table.

We were out on a day trip to Lecce and Otranto and stopped for lunch in Otranto. We stopped at Retro Gusto for two reasons: it was full - mainly Italians, and did not look like a typical touristy place. We were not disappointed. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, the food was tasty (especially the sepia starter, delicious and... More
