During our stay in Roccastrada, this became our favourite restaurant. Starting from Housewine over own olive oil, the mama in the kitchen, papa at pizza oven and son serving and giving tipps to tourists. Try Dottores "vegetable" Pizza. This is not on the menue but he created something for me... I can't tell the taste of his pizzas.... Unbelievable!!! All... More

We stopped for dinner 2X this week while staying at a nearby agriturismo. The owners are very friendly and don't let language get in the way of communicating. The food is excellent (and inexpensive to boot), and their own wine is one of the better table wines in the area. We also had a nice serenade by the owner, which... More

We came here at random, just because driving by. The oven was just fired up. So we used the time to have a look to the animals of Fabrizio (the chef). Perfect for the children. The food is outstanding good. And the price is also entirely in range. Thanks a lot for the funny and tasty evening! Martin.

We've actually ate twice at the Blue Rose - lunch and dinner. This is a family business that serves pastas and pizza (though the latter only in the evenings) as well as other local dishes. The food is tasty and the local wine pleasing. The highlights were actually not the food but the company: Despite language barriers, the owner and... More

What a great experience. The food is great, everyone enjoyed their meals and it has a nice setting but it is the human touch that gives this place an edge. The young waiter speaks four or five languages, dances tango and trains dogs. The chef and father suddenly drops his kitchen knife and becomes Dean Martin for an hour. The... More

We decided to go to this restaurant for £y birthday. It is not a upscale restaurant. It is what you are exactly looking for. Authentic food and Italian hospitality as it could not been better blowed us away. It was not the choice _ it were the recommendations from the families son ( speaking Italian, French and German) , the... More

Had dinner here Monday 1st August. The restaurant was almost full but there was still no problem arriving without a reservation. The food was really tasty, the kids had great pizza and the adults really enjoyed the pasta with sage butter. Also treated to some singing by the chef/owner at the end of the evening. Great family service

Very nice and informal family restaurant. They have real passion for the restaurant business. Very large selection of pizzas. The best pizza we had during our Tuscan holiday!

We spent Easter Monday here and had an absolute lovely lunch. We had been told about the Wild Boar (Cinghiale) and we weren't disappointed, it was so well cooked it broke apart with a fork. The rest of the food was of a very high standard with the pasta made in house. The service was very good with the host/owner... More

Description
The restaurant la Rosa Blu is located outside the village of Roccastrada, picturesque village of medieval origins, between the charming metalliferous hills of Maremma. Is possible to taste the local production as a selection of cold cuts and Tuscan crostini with pate, pappardelle with wild boar and tortelloni with meat sauce, wild boar Maremma and homemade desserts, in a wonderful panoramic terrace overlooking Mount Sassoforte and its beautiful forests, the castle of Montemassi and Roccastrada feature. Suitable for those who need to relax, the restaurant also offers a small farm where to reside exclusively within the family farm, between local products and genuine relaxation. A half hour from the sea, from cities such as Siena and Grosseto Massa Marittima, is the right proposal for a pleasant weekend in absolute tranquility
