We picked this hotel to stay at on our post-cruise night. As the mood getting of the cruise ship was very somber, this little town & hotel just helped to get us over our blues. It is such a lovely place. We have rooms facing...the street and had a seaview. The rooms are very well equipped, clean and the staff very friendly. Our room rate included dinner which we had at the hotel. Food was excellent. Will definitely stay here again.More

Just that really. It’s a relatively simple menu, and not the cheapest, but you won’t go hungry and the service is fine. You can eat from 19.30

My husband and I spent almost the entire month of June in this wonderful hotel and we can't wait to go back next year. Right by the Med with a wonderful restaurant and fabulous rooms. We were looked after by a professional team from Reception,...Housekeeping, Waiting staff and of course the amazing Carmello. We were lucky to have met the lovely Tizianna, the icing on the cake. See you very soon and thank you..More

Having read previous reviews and trusting the best western brand we decided to book this hotel for a mini break , to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is conveniently situated opposite the beach in a quiet area.the reception area is impressive and stylish as best...western hotels usually are, we were checked in by a female receptionist who advised we were half board and this meant breakfast and lunch ??!! I explained that we required breakfast and dinner and only then went on to explain restaurant times for dinner. We were told our room was in an annex and the building was pointed out to us. Our room was at the back of the hotel with a window overlooking a street and residential properties opposite - no balcony or terrace ???!! This was obviously a basic room which we were not expecting, the room was however perfectly clean , well presented with a modern bathroom. We went to dine at 9pm on our first night , the restaurant was literally deserted with no guests or staff . We sat at a table and waited, eventually a dishevelled man arrived and started speaking to us in Spanish , his English practically nonexistent, we established that he wanted to know if we were hotel guests and wanted to dine , we ordered from a very basic set menu and asked for wine we were told there was no white or rose wine and had to have tinto red wine only ??!! The food however was very well presented and very tasty , halfway through our main course we were asked what dessert we wanted !! The dessert was literally thrown on the table we felt we had outstayed our welcome. On our second night we arrived for dinner an hour earlier and we were greeted with the same deserted scene , however once again the food was well presented, plentiful and tasty. With the exception of the first receptionist, there was no evidence of multilingual staff , no one spoke English! The staff at the hotel were disinterested and made no effort to engage at all , not even a smile , eye contact was avoided and in fact the staff at breakfast time were simply rude. We were checked out by the same dishevelled person from the restaurant, there seemed to be an issue with our bill which he could not resolve , a second member of staff was called over and she also ignored us , we were presented with our bill which was correct , paid and left.no pleasantries no thank you etc etc. Having stayed at many hotels across the world we have become used to engaging staff and excellent customer service, this definitely, and surprisingly for best western , is not the case at this hotel. The pool area is pleasant , however the pool was not open until 23rd June , no mention of this on the website , we used it any way. The terrace and gardens are well kept and very pretty , it’s a 5 minute walk to the station with trains to Sitges and Barcelona and only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a handy supermarket opposite.More

We have stayed at the Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo almost once a year for the past 15 years. It is a family run hotel, the staff is very friendly, rooms are large, clean, most of them with sea view. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty...of cold and warm choices, very good. Short distance to Barcelona airport.More

We stayed here for a week. The room was comfortable and clean and well serviced each day. The reception staff were a bit of a mixed bag – helpful enough but not particularly friendly. There are so many good places to eat locally, don’t bother...with the hotel menu. We tried the menu of the day – expecting a limited choice but well-cooked local meal – not so much here. We had the shrimp salad – a basic salad with five small prawns which must have been frozen – such a shame when you’re right next to the sea – and the feta salad, same basic salad, with two (yes, two!) tiny pieces of feta. The fish stew was bulked out with rubbery calamari and the grilled salmon was OK, but served with what must have originally been green veg, but they certainly weren’t by the time they hit my plate, it takes some skill to turn peas and beans that shade of yellow. The pineapple Brule was sliced pineapple with a teaspoon of blow-torched sugar. Really disappointing. The house red was good though.More
