This restaurant has only 9 tables, so book your table in advance. Located in the main street of De Cocksdorp, it is easily reached. You might expect a very tiny restaurant, but nothing could be farther from the truth. It's spacious and has a modern...look and feel. The restaurant is run by only 2 people, husband in the kitchen, wife in the restaurant. Welcome is heartly. The menu simple with an emphasis on the produce, but every plate is beautiful and tasteful. You can make your choice in a limited 3 course set menu, completely inspired by the finds of the day. I had a fresh and crispy salad with Texel lamm as a starter, the fish of the day roasted in the oven, with parsnip puree, roasted potatoes and a kale salad as a main and a selection of Texel cheeses, one of them aged in their own attic.
A great evening out. I enjoyed it very much even though I was on my own.More

Bedankt voor de mooie woorden!
Graag tot ziens.
Hartelijke Texelse groet

We are very disappointed, that the restaurant and especially the dishes did not live up to our expectations. The quality of the local produce was outstanding, but the prepared dishes were lacking finesse, taste, and complexity: over salted brines and sauces which seemed to be...made out of sugar. Overall very misfit combinations. We did not stay for a dessert.More

Texel is famous for its food and this place proved to be the right spot to try local specialities. We choose different dishes (lamb, fish, beefsteak), accompanied by a very good local wine and it was all delicious and beautifully presented. The whole place has...a feeling of home, bring relatively small and cozy, offering also their own products, such as organic dressings, pickled olives, lamb sausages and other delicacies. It was an evening to remember.More
I tried the lamb burger with garlic sauce in this restaurant. So delicious! Served with a salad and very tasty French fries. Very recommended! Staff was very friendly. This restaurant sells its own cookbook + a variety of local products. Too bad we weren't long...enough in De Cocksdorp to have dinner there as their menu card looks delicious.More
Lovely place which serves fish so good that the first time in my life I have eaten a herring with almost a pleasure (OK, I still hate the herring, but this one was totally edible; makrel, cockles and shrimpls were just totally delicious). Must go!...Ah, and my boyfriend has gone to croquette heaven with the homemade lamb croquette. Which was obviously really good, because he didn't even give me a chance to take a picture of the dish...More
My husband and I went last year and this year again, during our family vacation to Texel and it is as good as ever. Delicious food from local (and organic?) produce, great wine and very very very friendly staff! We can definitely recommend this place...and will come again next year! My parents in law have been there as well, following our recommendation, and also loved it.More
Don't get scared by the very short menu. There is enough for all tastes. The quality is good, the service too. I had a wonderful goat cheese starter and a tasty quiche duo. I finished with cheese as dessert. We mostly drank Texel beer. In...average we spent 40 EUR a head.More
