I have been in twice with my friends for an impromptu meet up after work. I was impressed with the food, the servings are large, so ask for a doggie bag which they are more than happy to provide. The staff have been more than...More

I went for dinner on Tuesday evening with my mum. We were greeted by the most charming restaurant manager who showed us to our table. There was an extensive menu and a superb wine list, we chose the Malbec which was excellent. The homemade pizza,...More

Good kids menu with gluten free options but no real atmosphere. OK to pop in occasionally after taking kids to nearby Stoneham Park but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to visit it. Toilets "OK".

They seem to have switched out the vacuous youth for a slightly older more engaged bunch. Much better

A little late on this review but we visited The Stoneham on a bank holiday last year. The decor was very cute and at the time there was a lot of hunting and flowers indoors which looked lovely. The sun was shining and the place...More

This was my first visit for my sisters birthday meal. We arrived at 7pm and ordered by quarter past 7. We were still waiting for the food at quarter past 8. Not only was the waiting time extremely long considering it wasn't busy, the food...More

Dear Mathew I am desperately sorry to hear that you had a bad food experience at The Stoneham - we've been enjoying a run of very favourable responses to the quality of the food so it is a bit of a shock to have such...More

We visited today for lunch - four adults and a baby. The pizza, calzone and burger were all excellent and they've got a great selection of ice creams! Great menu - everything looked good. They had a number of high chairs available and were happy...More

This was place was ranking high until I went to the toilets. First off I tried the disabled toilet as that was where the baby changing facilities were and it was in a shoddy state... dirty, unflushed, no paper towels, over flowing bin, tissue on...More

Dear Georgina - many thanks for your constructive and helpful input. I'm very aware of the need to improve our toilets and baby changing facilities and regular toilet checks and cleaning are concepts I'm getting very boring about ... I'm glad the other elements of...More

I've been to this pub a few times and it's nice, I wouldn't say it'd my favourite, but the food is pretty nicely priced and they serve some great food. It's a good pub for catching up with friends and would definitely come again soon.

Doubt that. It's not about busy. It's about the staff attitude, which is dreadful, and the sneering contempt if you complain, as we did, having not even got our drinks after waiting 45 minutes. Appalling place, horrible... More

Description
The Stoneham is a stylish, family-friendly pub with an exciting new kitchen. We have a lovely garden, front sun terrace and a cool function room for parties. We pride ourselves on our food and have a range of daily specials. We recently launched out own smokehouse, smoking ingredients from garlic and cheeses to meats. Our standard menu is varied with a strong range of choices for vegetarians and carnivores alike. We also offer our famous pizzas in gluten free versions. On Sunday we offer a brilliant range of roasts highlighting local and quality ingredients.
