Had the mussels, calamari and chicken tacos. Good meal and generous portions. Would go again. The service was good as well.

We went here on trip advisors recommendation as it came up as #1 place to eat in the coromandel. Meal was nice enough but we've had better. Menu was quite small so dishes should have been amazing really. We both left some of our mains which never happens! The highlight was dessert really, and we're normally more savoury that sweet... We were recommended to this restaurant by the lady who runs the lodge we stayed in a few k's outside town. Pleasant setting & a nice ambience. However the service was disappointing with our pre dinner drinks actually arriving after the first course was served & indeed only half the first course actually delivered! However when it all did arrive... More

Laid back but luscious, this fun bar and restaurant dishes up well prepared selections. We enjoyed local oysters, tuna carpaccio, and a scrumptious roasted pork shank. Diverse NZ wine list and local beers.

This was a wonderful restaurant. Highly recommend the entrees, calamari, the mussels, and the pate. Tremendous steak and lamb mains. A true gem.

We had lunch at The Pepper Tree having chosen the delicious salt and pepper calamari and also the mussels. Our waiter was charming, great sense of humour and very helpful. Couldn't fault anything and will hopefully revisit again.

We were driving around the Coromandel and stopped here for lunch. Can't fault the choices we made. Fish was fresh and the service freindly and helpful. Wish we lived closer.

The service was prompt courteous and very friendly. We were a group of five and each persons meal was tasty. I loved the vegetarian curry, was very flavourful without it being overpowering. Highly recommend a meal or two here.

After a full day on the Coastal Walk we turned upp just before them finishing serving. No problems! We ordered Scotch Hertford filet. I have never had such a well tasting meat before. Very tender with rich flavor. A big piece of meat too.

The Pepper Tree in Coromandel is one of two or three excellent restaurants in town. Food and wine was very good, with a relaxed atmosphere. I do have to say that I have never eaten anything as good as the signature steak... Melt in the mouth.
