It was not what I expected, judging from the photos before going there, but it really is an interesting place to go to. Service is a bit slow but they are friendly. It is cheap. They have a nice little terrace in the back. Food...was alright. As there is not much to see in town, this could be a nice place to go to.More

Great food and very affordable prices! The ambient is great and great music. One drink that we really loved was the “Ponche de Gengibre” (a ginger and ice tea mix). Food is very presentable and for a range price of $4.00USD up to $8.00USD is...a Great deal!.More

This place is just around the corner from Casa Verde, where most travellers stay. Excellent brunches and coffee, with a pleasant outside space and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The shady patio is lovely. I had a frappucchino and amazing fresh strawberry cheesecake (a billion times better than at Ban Ban!) for only 3.50$. The waiters were super friendly. Very recommended!

I came here for breakfast and sat in the inside patio. Breakfast was cheap but I noticed there was dog poop on the soil near the wall. Maybe it was cat poop or my eyes were playing tricks on me. But it was hard for...me to enjoy the meal especially when trying to eat refried beans. I recommend sitting inside the restaurant. Hopefully, this was just an one-off.More

The café is stocked with interesting art and artifacts and is lovely. Their food is average and a bit over priced, but it is very close to Casa Verde. I don't recommend wandering too far at night in Santa Ana.

I simply got a smoothie and it was pretty runny .. I guess in El Salvador they blend the milk and fruit and then add in ice, but the ice doesn't get blended . Husband got a fruit plate but the fruit seemed old and...was a small plate for $4More

Im usually not the one, who give bad comments, but, in this case, its a joke, that a place, witch called itself "Expression Cafe", and try to be looking cool, "cultural", and international, dosent even have a coffee machine... To the story: I was really...disappointed from this Expression Cultural Cafe... I went there today, i thought, after all that local coffees i get in Santa Ana, with a lot of water, not really tasty and strong, finally i will have a nice cup of coffee, in this place, witch called Expression Cafe. I experienced in a lots of different countries, that really good coffee you can get many times in coffee shops. So i went there today in the afternoon, and asked for one Espresso. She said, no problem, seat down please. Never in my life i was waiting 15 minutes for a coffee. There where like two other tables, they had already their drinks. So no excuse for waiting time. I thought, maybe, they switched off the coffee machine, so thats why takes that long. In this "Cultural-cool" atmosphere, the light was off, so during the waiting time, i could not even read my Lonely Planet, witch also highly recommended this place... During the waiting time, i get a lots of gnat bite, no air condition, no fan. Finally, the "espresso" came, witch was a not EVEN a hot drink, witch i also could get in every other cheap local location in the city... Lots of water, lukewarm, no taste, no caffeine. I was really disappointed, i wanted to pay and leave, the waitress dosent even had an idea, how much my "espresso" should cost, she had to go away, and look in the menu... Thats why, i NOT recommend this place for people, who like to drink a REAL coffee - or espresso. The owner, who did so much, to decorate the place, should travel around, for example to Costa Rica, and have a look, how their the owners working in their coffee - shops, with a coffee machine, to serve - or try - first quality coffee, for connoisseur. Thats nothing, zero, good enough for local people, who dosent even know, how should be a real coffee shop with real coffee. Disappointing...More

We arrived at 5:15pm, planning on just having a drink, but ended up staying for food too. We had the quesadilla, tacos and chips, followed by delicious oreo cheesecake and lime pie - yum! Best of all, the staff were very attentive and we left...promptly at 6pm as they closed, couldn't have asked for a more efficient service! The 'mora' (blackberry) juice was very tasty too! The only downfall was that the portions were perhaps a little smaller than expected, but we were ordering snacks after all!More

The decor is lovely and quite unique which is fun in itself, however, the food was just ok. The staff were lovely, however, like most other restaurants you wait quite a while to be greeted, have your order taken, and often your food arrives before...your drink. Whatever, all good. However, as this place was rated #1 in Santa Ana, I just have to say I got my hopes up! The smoothies were mostly ice. I had the pastrami Sandwhich with salad and my boyfriend had this chorizo wrapped in chicken with rice and veggies. Both filled us up but we still spent $15 and left knowing we wouldn't be heading back. Street food is just as tasty and a much better deal!More

The cafe is owned by the husband of Rosie, who owns Villas Napoli. We just had a quick lunch there and it was good and fresh. A man at the door kept an eye on our rental car while we ate.

I liked that they had some good vegetarian options. Food was good and they had free wi-fi. Like nearly everything in Juyua, the prices were reasonable.

This is a great little find. It had a small bookstore, inside and courtyard seating and some neat things to look at. The food was really good but on the smaller portion side. My vegetarian sandwich had big soft bread. I've not had soft bread...in Central America for a month. The people were very nice. The reason I would go back is the courtyard seating. It is very funky with grape vines for shade. Absolutely loved it. If you live in a place that has a bunch of bohemian type eateries, it might not be so special. But in Santa Ana, El Salvador it was really special. A great mural on the wall as well.More
