more than just knodel

we tried this restaurant for dinner of a nice spring day and we took a seat outside. the area is very nice, with a little playground for the kids. the name of the restaurant may be misleading as it is not just all about knodel....my dish included a mix of roasted cuts of pork and a variation of knodel. a lot of excellent meat. flawless service, the staff has been welcoming and helpful. quite surprisingly, the restaurant is closed on saturday.More

Love this place.

The owner is a cool guy. Fresh food familial decor makes you feel like home. Perfect for family time. Kids will love this place also.

A good place to eat Bavarian specialties on a good price

We popped in only 20 minutes before the advertised closing time, yet we got served politely. The meat was fresh and juicy, the knodels were tasty and aplenty. Not to miss, if you are in Grafenau!

Superb value

We have eaten here for over 10 years and the quality is always good, with excellent prices. It is a great family restaurant which serves very good Bavarian cuisine. You HAVE to try a Knoedel, and the Schweinshaxe on a Thursday are brilliant.
