Visited Rusty Gun on 13th May 2017 for an evening meal. Rats running round outside (huge rats!!) Asked for peas with my fish and chips and they served mushy peas. Asked for custard with my sticky toffee pudding. Bread was served in a flower pot not sliced and served with no butter. When i asked for butter/sauces the usual side... More

I took some business partners for lunch here. A good choice of food on the menu, it wasn't so busy. Good atmosphere to entertain potential business partners. The only downside was that i was charged for the wrong beer, ordered a non-alcoholic Becks, was billed for something called Erdinger? Apart from that little mis-hap everything was great. Check your bill... More

A large dinning area which serves a reasonable menu if a bit on the pricey side. The liver, however, is one of the best I have tasted and well worth trying. A little farm shop on site is an added attraction and you can also visit the pigs at the rear and feed them

We went for a late Sunday lunch May bank holiday weekend. The good thing about this place is it wasn't packed and therefore the aptmoshere was nice and relaxed. I think there were only two other tables full when we arrived. The food was good, the decor is also nice but the service was really slow. It seemed like only... More

Came a couple of weeks ago with family for a Sunday lunch. The food was fine, no real complaints, but the service was bad. The waitresses didn't seem to know how to serve or even have an interest in serving customers. We had to chase for drinks and cutlery. Very disappointing, will not go back.

30 km cycle broken by a tasty lunch at the Rusty Gun. Good outdoor area when weather is good or bad as they have a big circular outhouse with central fire. Piglets in the rear for kids amusement. Food tasty and good. Food arrived a little slow but we were relaxed. We know this is good for weekend carvery. This... More

Came here a few weeks ago for steak night, absolutely beautiful could not fault it if I tried! Returned again last Wednesday and I couldn't be more ashamed, over cooked steak and when they gave me another it was no better, restaurant was empty so I don't see why service was so slow, couldn't order desert because the kitchen was... The food was very nice and steak cooked to perfection. The experience was let down by the drinks though. Ordered a sry martini and was served bermouth neat in a water glass. No gin, olives or ice. Not sure what they were trying to do to the mojito but getting a cinnamon stick in it was definitely a first, and... More

I have had the pleasure of sharing lunch and dinner with family & friends on several occasions over the last few months and we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit every time. Rib night was an indulgent treat, tasting the most delicious pork ribs in the area. We chose from the lunchtime set menu whilst making the most of the recent... More
