First of all, I have to say our expectations were low after reading some of the negative reviews on here. But we were pleasantly surprised as it turns out. This is a pub/tavern and operates as such - it's not a fancy restaurant. The wait...More

This would have scored 4/5 but for the horribly loud music. The staff were lovely and the food was very tasty. Just a shame that the overall atmosphere was spoiled by the fact that we could hardly hear each other!

After a day hiking, there really isn't much of a better place to unwind with a few beers and a pizza than Chamois Aoraki. Overlooking Mount Cook, enjoy watching the sun go down and admiring the beauty of the surrounding valley. You can grab any...More

This is where most of the local workers go for a night out as well as people looking for a cheaper meal than whats available in the hotels. Typical pub/bar food like pizza and burgers. I had a club sandwich and fries and it was...More

Pretty good fare, friendly staff & great ambience on a rugby night. The special dish Chicken Royale was great. Happy hours was on. Recommended.
