Decided to stop for dinner in Rangiora. The Plough seemed to fit what we wanted to eat for the night. Was a Saturday night completely booked out. I had the fillet steak with blue cheese etc. The meal was absolutely fantastic. Steak cooked to perfection. Could not fault. Great atmosphere. Staff were so attentative Definitely will be going back there.

Great food at reasonable prices. Service was good and staff were friendly. Warned us when we booked that there was a band starting at 8.30pm. They were brilliant. Weren't too loud and played a great range of songs especially from the 80's. Happy to go back anytime and would recommend to all.

This is the action Rangiora and the food is great. Plus a full bar that even sports Paddy's. from families to punters, pool players to farm hands. Live music and dancing when we were there. Full liquor store. Rooms too. Great, great value. Het the daily roast - perfect. Highly recommended.

We had been here before so were happy to stop in on our way to Hanmer. I ordered the chicken Cajun salad or 4 seasons salad (not %100 sure exactly what it was called) the chicken was ok to be fair, quite spicy but I didn't mind that. The salad itself was very last week I'm sorry to say and... More

The food in this place is much better than you would expect looking at what appears to be a typical Pokies and Pub place. Like most of these places, could do with more variety in their beer selection.

The Plough Hotel - truly iconic of Rangiora. Built in the 1800s & still going strong, it's survived all the Canterbury earthquakes! You can always get a great homemade roast there with tender meats, crunchy potatoes & loads of fresh veges. The menu is pub grub but with freshness & good presentation. Plus you get a good sized plateful to... More

A wonderful friendly Historic styled restaurant and bar with a warm inviting atmosphere. Owners and staff who love what they do will ensure dining out is easy and enjoyable. Very family friendly with a playground, huge garden and plenty of toys. Also very suitable for Grandma and Grandad with smaller meal options and plenty of space. Carpet to keep the noise down. A busy restaurant 7 days per week ensures all meals are made fresh daily there is plenty of selection. All day dining so the kitchen is open no matter how early or late you wish to eat. Come on down and check out the new old decor. Showing off the history of Rangiora and the surrounds.
