Pub/ Restaurant was furnished very nicely, had a table booked for 7.45 had a drink in bar first, was called to table later than we booked. All was well with drinks and starters, but I ordered the beef rib special, which was inedible, chewy, stringy, burnt one side not cooked properly the other. When I told our waiter this he... More

An absolutely amazing dining experience! Wish this was our local. Modern, friendly, great choice of drinks and food was perfect. Waiters and waitresses were friendly and advised on choices available. I'd advise booking here as it was full when we attended. Romantic and fab!

Surprise meal my partner had sourced the place. Service was a bit chaotic at first but settled and waitress did explain they had had an unexpected rush. Had the set meal...three courses very nice, cooked well. Bistro style/posh pub food and it was good value and yummy. Kids fish and chips and pudding of brownie for 9.00 was bang on.

My husband & I visited Rowleys to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Having read the reviews, I was looking forward to excellent food in contemporary surroundings, this is exactly what we got. We arrived early, as we hadn't booked and were efficiently shown to an upstairs table, the menu was limited to 3 or 4 starters and mains, which makes a... More

The food is solid. My favourite is the honey roasted ham hock. The meat is tender, and the outside is crispy.

I just gave a less than enthusiastic review to Fischer's which is also in the beautiful village of Baslow. Ironically, this restaurant has the same owners, but the experience that it provides is the direct opposite of Fischer's. it offers very good food at reasonable prices in a convivial atmosphere. We dined here with great pleasure three nights out of... More

We were staying at Fischers for the night and fancied a drink before going there so parked up and visited Rowleys. Staff were super friendly and venue was very chilled and nicely laid out. We didn't eat but will definitely be going back to eat as the menu looked really good.

I have been to Rowley's twice and enjoyed both visits - the first for a light lunch and the second for a more substantial dinner. Worth a visit.

We decided to try this place as they advertised it as being pet friendly and we had our dog with us. What a find. A really modern but welcoming atmosphere, with very friendly staff. We ate in the bar area, as expected, but may as well have been in a 4star restaurant. The service was good as was the quality... More

Description
Rowley’s Restaurant and Bar sits on the edge of the beautiful Chatsworth Estate in the pretty village of Baslow. Our passion is fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
The bar is a great place to meet up with friends, open from 10 am serving Fairtrade coffee. Call in at any time for a glass of wine, hand crafted beer from a local brewery, or join us for a light lunch or an informal dinner. Rowley’s boasts three contemporary dining areas, ideal for lunch, supper or dinner.
We will look forward to welcoming you soon.
