Poor performance for a wedding. The entree was pretty average. The main then took almost 2 hours to come out. I had the beef wellington. It was about 50-60 grams of meat that was dry and overcooked. The pastry was dry and just crumbled. It said it came with roast potatoes. It should of said 1 roast potato half the... More
This is a popular wedding venue that trades on past glories. The meals served were tiny. The salads, two small plates, were placed on the tables to be shared amongst eight people per table. Forget the Deconstructed Beef Wellington. This is a small piece of pastry on top of a bit of eye fillet that in my case was tough.... More
An amazing place for a wedding. The gardens and temple could not have been more fitting for our son's wedding ceremony. The trees started getting their autumn colours the week before and created a wonderful backdrop. The fallen leaves made it even more romantic. The roses, hedges and resident doves were idyllic for such an event. Even the roses co-operated... More
A fantastic wedding venue, John Silvestre and staff were excellent. Great food very helpful with wedding arrangements making relevant suggestions
In one word: Fantastic. Started with 2004 Thomas Hyland Chardonnay and Pea and Vodka infused soup with Pancetta...awesome 2nd course : Eden Valley Riesling. Tea infused Atlantic Salmon, crispy skinned with lemon and coriander. The Riesling perfectly matched the salmon. 3rd Course : Cloudy Bay Sauv Blanc. Open style ravioli with jumbo Prawns and marscapone sauce. 4th Course : Grain... More
Enjoyed thoroughly! We stayed at Manor Estate and we would highly recommend for dinner in the local area. 5 star service to match our stay at the Manor Estate.
Silvestri's is such an amazing place, with five star silver service food and an all round excellent dining experience. I've eaten there five or six times now, experiencing both the three course set menu ($80) and the five course degustation ($130). The food is some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted, you simply can not fault it.... More
Silvestri's is an extremely impressive little botique restaurant in Adelaide's South. I have eaten there on a half dozen occasions now and every time I have been ultimately impressed. I love this restaurant so much for its gorgeous atmosphere and second-to-none food prepared by chef John Silvestri. In fact, I love it so much that my fiance proposed to me... More
We were delighted by the fact that on a Monday evening when every other place we tried was closed, John Silvestri opened his restaurant just for the two of us! Vito provided exemplary service, John cooked stylish Italian food and the setting was warmly intimate. Perhaps not every dish was highly sophisticated but it was produced and served with panache....
