We stopped in on a whim and we were not disappointed!! Mouth watering scallops as an entree. The steak meal was cooked to perfection. And my partner was raving about her delicious thhock and creamy seafood chowder. Was a great relaxing atmosphere to unwind and eat after a long hot day in the car.
We visited here on a Thursday for lunch (during the Northland Field days being held in Dargaville). Our overwhelming impression was the 45 minute wait for average food. My wife and I visited this week and found the food was still good honest home cooked style food. The pricing was very reasonable making Jo's an easy choice. We did note that the business is for sale currently but this certainly has not affected the meal. Lots of locals were there and they were clearly regulars.
I enjoyed a bacon and egg breaky accompanied by a lovely little coffee on the verandah of this quaint establishment. An array of lovely home made goodies was on offer too.
