We made this our first place to stay in Germany. It was a great first cultural experience. Very good food and drink from local recipes and seasonal foods.

Our hotel was across the street, but we had dinner here. The food was typical and enough for hungry people! My "Schäufele", a pork shoulder, could be a portion for a real woodcutter! The price was a little bit higher but still ok. In the restaurant there is a shop where you buy wine and other products of this area.

We sat outside on a nice patio after we had made a table reservation on a Sunday night. The restaurant serves good local wines and typical food for the area. It took a long time before the waitress took our order and about an hour before we got our food but she was very busy. We ordered wild boar and... More

We had a decent meal but the service and prices were not as expected. The wait staff were both slow and not very friendly. The cost of the food was high for the area and what we ate.

This was a nice weekend. We were walking along the Main and decided to eat something. The place looked charming, and this is the only positive thing we can say about it. We took seasonal food with chanterelle/Pfifferlinge. The soup was pure salt, hardly any other taste could be detected. Main dishes (2 different ones) were a mixture of no... More

This was our first visit to Veitshochheim, and Spundloch was within walking distance from our hotel. I wanted to introduce my children to a typical German meal, and it was delicious. We had a Schnitzel, Pfifferlinge and Semmelknödel and a Lende Ratsherren, all exceptional. We sat in the cute little courtyard, and service was prompt. Would definitely recommend

We got the last table on a busy night, and enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent service. The small menu (always a good sign) is available in English, and had sufficient variety, and our choices proved to be both interesting and delicious. The list of local wines must be heaven for connoisseurs, but the notes we enough for us to... More

This is a very busy restaurant, used by locals and tourists alike. The food we had and the choice of food was superb. After three weeks of traveling in Germany, this was the best food we had.

A very traditional, but not overdone Weinstube. Food is well prepared and tasty. Choice and quality of the wines is very good.
