Nothing negative to say about Osteria.. Amazing home cooked Sicilian food, friendly family service and an authentic location. Not to be missed. Look forward to visiting again.

The restaurant was warm, made from an old winery. Excellent, typical Sicilian food. Friendly staff. best meal on trip.

First night gamble proved to be a good choice. Initially thought we might leave immediately because we were the only patrons but decided to give it a whirl. Soon we were joined by 15 other covers and we ordered the fish risotto. Service was good and the food excellent and the wine was most acceptable. All in all an enjoyable,... More

We found this place towards the end of our holiday, which is just as well as we saved the best for last. Tucked away in a side street but still central, this osteria is a gem. Beautiful, old building with a mezzanine floor right up in the ancient beams, overlooking the rest of the family-run restaurant. We had the house... More

We had a lovely evening here. Great Risotto and pasta, and Frito Anti-Pasti. Huge portions! come hungry...All simple and so precise. Worth a visit!

We found a typical place, full of old things. The waitress was very nice. The cooking was typical and tasty ! Our plates were full of delicious and fresh vegetables !

One word: horrible food. 2 diners and the food was simply spoiled and bad! Maybe it was bad luck, but you were warned!!

Our visit at 1877 was a nice but not something to remember as anything special. I had an risotto with clams and vegetables but the only taste in it was the clams. The service is fine but distant- not as friendly and heartwarming as it usually is in Sicily.

35 minutes to get our food and the meat was not cooked, still freezed. horrible Meal. 15 minutes for the waitress to appear again, so no complain possible. Unable to pay by credit card so we had to find an ATM in town to pay. Incredible. We left very disappointed, Never ever again.

Risotto can be like heaven, especially after burning all your calories on Etna. Service is very friendly and helpful, linguistically competent and flexible and the menu is just wonderful! Don't miss it if you are anywhere in the vicinity. If you are not: make the trip anyway!
